There's a really good crowd there and it's quite soon after Christmas when people are not feeling flush. They're not there to watch Peterson. Spence has pulling power. Anybody think Spence-Crawford actually happens without Crawford leaving Arum? Anybody know how long Crawford is signed up to Arum for?

The methodical power poise of Spence is something else to watch. Smart selection on shots. Not exactly will o the wisp but dude is a machine.
Peterson has some balls on him. He made no attempt to clinch at all after he went down.
Amazing Peterson got through the 5th. Spence just pummeling him.

That was a big old crowd for a guy from the other end of the country against a not so stellar opponent. Spence has some star power it seems.

Spence was very classy again but used a hell of a lot of nails and still couldn't keep the floorboard down. To be fair to Crawford, his first fight at 147 will be for a title and he has never shown a tendency previously to avoid anyone. I think that's the best fight to be made at the weight. Thurman although having unified titles has lost all that momentum with the layoff and unenthusiastic interest in Spence or Crawford.Quote:

Yeah, I'm not saying anything against Crawford. I just don't see Bob allowing it. Manny didn't, hasn't and won't fight the big young writers too. No fault of Manny, he would if told to. Same with Crawford, he'd fight anyone but will fight who Bob says to fight. I hope to be wrong, to me Spence vs Crawford is the best fight that could currently be made.Quote:

I hear ya and Top Rank has a few welters that they could keep Crawford busy with (Vargas, Ponomarev). I just hope Crawford forces Bob's hand and demands the Spence fight.
