160 seems to be back in limbo once again, just as it was starting to get going.
Will the IBF force the mandatory after this, or the WBC, or even possibly the WBA? Or will they all step aside if Canelo wants the immediate rematch upon his return.
Theirs also the unification with BJS. Starting to get a bit of a backlog.
Clanelo and his money messed everything up. There are significant fights to be made to prove best in the division (which Clanelo has nothing to do with) and they won’t be made until after the money. It’s understandable but sucks.
GGG will fight Clanelo in September
BJS will continue the bum tour until he gets the payday fight
Hopefully Jacobs and Charlo fight because that at least means something and it’s the only meaningful fight that might happen this year.
I wouldn't mind a Derevyanchenko fight. But it isn't at the top of my wish list.
Bud you want to cluster bomb the boards like a troll bot, to the point of even starting spam thread in the same run, then I'll certainly tell you about it.
Posts and threads of sometimes straight gibberish are same and you have a deleted graveyard of and you've been asked to curtail both fresh off your most recent ban. It's not all that complicated, cheers.
Saw where they put an August deadline on his mandatory shot. Really putting GGG in a corner 90 days out with thoughts of Canelo in September.
More and more I have zero interest in Canelo v Golovkin. I can't see Canelo back in Spent off year out and surgery just hopping back in with him either. Plenty of sharks in the 160 tank and frankly a win over a Charlo or Jacobs 2 surpasses one over Canelo at this point.
I see The Ring still have Canelo as champion, he should be removed as he is suspended.
HBO didn't even put Vanes on the fight poster. Ouch
Roman Gonzalez seems to be off the card now, according to boxrec, maybe they are saving him to be on the undercard for an actual ppv :S... Looks like Ryan Martin is going to be shown instead.
Vanes looked fragile at the weight in. 3 weeks is not much time, was he in the gym working when he got the call?
An active Vanes at 154 is a decent fighter, here I see him taking a pounding. Corner or ref saves him.
What's Don king doing there?
Which fighter does he own?
Basically zero undercard. Assuming the ceiling doesn't fall on Golovkin on ring walk it should be just a matter of time. Only hope Golovkin doesn't get the urge to drop his hands ala Monroe fight to keep fans entertained. So ibf isn't sanctioning it after all?
Just got back from a family get together just in time to watch the GGG -Vanes telecast. Missed the Haye fight, but will try to catch the replay, as I'm game to watch anytime Haye gets whooped.
Now to settle down for what should be a predictable fight.
Cecilia Braekhus looks exotic.
You will love her when she moves up to HW Tito! Where's the undercard? Prescott with loss 13 and now a bunch of women with 2 minute rounds? They are working hard but it is like 2 amateur Malignaggi's in there. To hel with you Canelo!
I take back my Paulie comment, he has never put someone down like that. Good shot.
Rocked at the end of that round too.
This should be 3 minute rounds. Wouldn't mind 30 minutes at all. Tito would agree with me.
Lucia Rijker gets her big trainer moment and her fighter sand bags her on a days notice? Man that's cold :-X.
