DeGale is scheduled to have a low key warm up fight this weekend.

Groves and Callum Smith have been 2 of my favourite fighters for a long time now. I’ve always knew this day would come and I looked forward to it and dreaded it at the same time.
Now it’s here, I just hope it’s not an anti climax and that there’s no controversy or injuries.

Very cautious opening from both in the first round.

Smith looks dangerous with the right hand but Groves busier with the fast jab.

Groves to break smith down and win by 7th. Smiths chin too easy to hit, not as good a boxer as Groves.

Again nothing in the 2 nd round . 1-1

Evening just tuned in. Groves looks red

Groves seems rattled by the right hands over the top of his jab by Smith.

Smith holding the centre of the ring and just about dominating the round.

5th round both missing a lot and posturing but Groves was busier with the jab and causing some damage. The illegal leg sweep was good.

Smith wins the 6th. They’re probably both connecting with as much as each other , but Smith’s are having more impact.
