But I'm genuinely interested in that the quotes sighted are geared towards a reaction or narrative that isn't applicable in this specific case. The 'situation' is a former woman fighting a man. The quoted boxers don't even recognize that scenario or automatically assume its reversed.
Here's my first post:
"Women of boxing discuss competing with transgender females"
http://proboxinginsider.com/women-of...ender-females/
Here's the opinion of some of those who actually have to step into the ring with transgender females. Some bravely go with the flow and don't seem to mind... but others emphatically say "no".
I agree with the latter.
Here's my second post:
In short, a woman changes into a man and wants to fight men? It's her choice.
A man changes into a woman and wants to fight women? He's being forced onto opponents who want no part of it.
'Nough said.
From there, I was called "sexist" by that paragon of a poster.... Swanson. Beanz predictably jumps in and thanks him for the insult he hurled at me.
Now... I get it that as Mod your job is to moderate and try and find middle ground or peace.
But where I come from we call a spade a spade.
If someone can feel free to call me a "sexist" based on my opinion that women should not have to fight transgenders, then so be it.
But when I retaliate, it'll be with the kid gloves off.
My only suggestion is that people become better acquainted with the meaning of words before they decide to throw them around like candy. I realize that would be against current Saddo practices.

It's all fine TitoFan. You have a mod setting a fine example in encouraging those from the sport to carry on posting on the forum. If i get perma- banned again at least It will be a bit clearer why this time.

Here's another poster, making the perfectly good argument that if a transgender who turned into a man wants to fight men... fine. Just not the other way around. You see..... this is what is known as a discussion. You take the opening question, which is "Should transgendered people be allowed to box?", and you proceed to discuss it. No one here except you is keeping score on whether we veered off the straight and narrow path of the initial question. As adults, we expand upon our answers.

A tomato can who has been knocked out 18 times in the last three years shouldn’t be allowed to fight a standout prospect, but that’s just boxing.
Now here's my own two cents. Posting the opinions of actual women boxers.

From this, I get called a "sexist" by Swanson, and you thanking him for it.
What's your basis? Zilch. Nada. Just this inexplicable itch you have to leap on anything that's said about transgenders that might ruffle your feathers.
THEN.... you comically try to make about me saying transgenders are going to be forced on women boxers.
Well my angry bitter friend..... if a transgender is given a license to fight as a woman against other women.... it stands to reason he's gonna have to fight SOMEBODY. Unless of course that premise doesn't meet your standards.
What's more, like your "reasoned, nuanced" pal Swanson says..... project 10 years down the road.
Does the idea there might be a woman champion that all of a sudden is faced with the specter of squaring off against a transgender or she gets stripped of her title...... is that too far-fetched for you? Did I stray off the original post? Is my argument not meeting your standards?
THEN, you have the unmitigated gall to mention International Woman's Week, and try to make it about that, when all I've done here is stick up for those women who say they would not want to fight a transgender.
I'm fucking protecting them, but to pea-brain Swanson and yourself and Robin, I'm a sexist.
That sound you're now hearing is the sound of that brittle leg you were standing on being crushed by the weight of the moronic argument you've spun for yourself.
You know..... I'm tired of showing you up for the two-faced, sniveling, angry little bitter twat you are.
Back off and go back to the topics you actually know something about.

Re: Should transgenered people be allowed to box?
Most of this comes down to the debate on the decisions of individuals. So if someone who used to be a woman becomes a man and wants to fight men then it seems like most, if not all, agree that that’s up to them. If they are at a disadvantage and want to take the risk then they can do it.
The other side of the argument is if someone who was a man transitions to a woman. Other woman in the sport have the ability to refuse to fight someone transgendered, but there will be consequences for it like losing a title. So basically they are forced to fight. It’s like if I hold a belt to my kids and whip them if they aren’t eating their food. Sure they can technically choose but in reality their choice is made for them.
It would seem that a study would need to be done of some sort to prove that a man that has transitioned into a woman has absolutely no unfair advantage over other women. This isn’t about racism or sexism. This is about safety and fairness. So if it is proven that there is no unfair advantage then I have absolutely no problem with it.

Re: Should transgenered people be allowed to box?
Hey bud I have no qualms with someone standing up for themselves and this on whole has nothing to do with being a mod, I've never once stopped prior to posting and thought..now how can I bring peace to these two thickos who are just in it to stir it up ;D. Nope, I have been to that spade is a spade town many times, great place. I'm more on why bring in a Chinese menu of reverse examples just to have that can to kick around. All those boxers don't know and are not forced into a fight with a man turned woman. To be honest what boxer is forced into any fight. But again...one example of a man to woman boxing a woman??? It's just put out there to have a go honestly. Basically this whole thing could have been nipped at ' a woman changes into a man and wants to fight a man..that's her choice'. Because that was the original topic and example given. But of course that wouldn't afford us this quality spirited entertainment and back and forth would it ;).

Well, maybe next time the opening post can come with instructions that we're not to expand on our answers but rather stick to the straight and narrow. I'm sorry Spicoli, but I've already posted several times where I just expanded on what a second poster had already said.... that he was ok with one scenario, but not with the other. And frankly, why give a transgender a license if he's not going to face some women down the road. Surely, the scenario of mandatories and champions being stripped for refusing to face them is nothing new to you nor to anyone here.
I'll stick to my argument, and my right to explain it without being called a sexist (or in this case a thicko) :)
Again... I know it's part of the job.
But when I was parenting, if they were both wrong they both got reprimanded. If one of them was at fault, I did the right thing.
But you're a middle ground guy. I respect that.

No. You didn't post in the thread or offer an opinion. The post just prior to mine was just a figment of my imagination.
The only usual part here is you ignoring bunches of people having the same opinion as me, only to home in on mine with your laser focus and have a go at it.
You and Beanz continually pat each other on the back... sort of a sick tag team fraternity... and of course you have a common enemy... me.
Just want you to know however, that your opinion of what I have to say means sooooooooo much to me.
Naturally, I'm devastated when we disagree on just about everything.
Scratch that. You agree on some things, but when you see what my position is, you immediately rush to the other side just so we can get into these entertaining tit-for-tats.
-
Re: Should transgenered people be allowed to box?
Enough people on here have stated they have the same opinion as me on this, which is that the safety of women boxers is paramount. If that is going to be compromised by allowing transgender boxers to fight them, then it shouldn't be allowed. To prove my point, I posted several opinions from women boxers themselves saying as much.
What happens? I get forum erudite Swanson calling me a "sexist", (probably without knowing what that means).... Beanz promptly thanking him because of his perpetual hard-on for transgenders and thinking something offensive has been said... also blathering about International Women's Day and all sorts of bullshit. At some point you predictably chime in and then say "who me?" when I respond.
Does this sort of sum things up for you?
Glad to be of help.
-
Re: Should transgenered people be allowed to box?
I would ask you to objectively go back over the first few posts again, but frankly I don't think you're capable of that.
If you were, you'll find nothing but weak arguments from Swanson and Beanz, like the one about the opening post being about a transgender woman turned man fighting against men.
Someone else posted they don't mind that, but don't agree with it being the other way around.
I agree with that poster.... Swanson says I'm a sexist.... Beanz thanks him... and the bickering starts.
Some of you can't be happy unless you're picking fights.

'Cause you don't have the same sensitive scabs on transgender that Beanz does? 'Cause you haven't devoted volumes of posts to ridicule the opinions of those of us who object to certain things regarding transgenderism? (This being one of them). Gimme a break and for god's sake be an adult about this. There's a history here. You gonna pretend otherwise? You and Beanz play tag wrestling on this and other subjects. By the way, you liked Swanson's post also.
What the f*ck is your major problem with me? Is it my deodorant?
BTW, did I mention how much your opinion means to me?

So no apology just more lies and paranoia and as I already noted you're the "victim." So, so predictable.
You don't care about my opinion but feel the need to invent it and monitor the posts I "like?" Seriously, get a grip. I "liked" Ron's post purely for his stance on gay adoption, that's all. My gawd, the paranoia.

No paranoia Fenster. Just a lot of experience arguing with you on other threads about the transgender issue. I don't invent your opinion either. You make it very clear. It's not your opinion I have a problem with. It's the way you go about tearing down other people's opinions. You may not notice it, but you do. He who's without sin cast the first stone and all that jazz.
No victim here, Fenster. Just clearing the air. I still don't know how my opinion that transgenders fighting women boxers could be a safety issue and I'm against it, got turned into "sexism". Put your dislike of me aside for a minute. Does that not strike you as just a little inaccurate? Again... call me a bully... opinionated... and all the names I'm sure you have on a list. But sexist? My god... enough with the homophobic accusations to be called sexist also.
News flash: Trying to protect women boxers is NOT sexist. Personal choice is fine. If a woman boxer doesn't mind facing a transgender who used to be a man... hell... go for it. But the majority don't. And if ever the situation arises that a woman champion has a transgender mandatory... chooses not to fight that opponent... and gets stripped (not that far-fetched)... then we'll be singing a different tune.
Predictability... victim playing... nobody here has a monopoly on any of this shit, Fenster.
Also, if it hasn't been made clear already, I'm not against those who want to change their gender. I personally don't agree with that... but I don't believe in preventing people from doing whatever they want to do with themselves. I just object it being done to children, and you may (or not) be interested in that one article where I posted about some women who feel victimized by others pressuring them to act on their child's transgender feelings.
The same arguments bring out the same vitriol from the same suspects, who predictably land on the same, opposite sides of the fence. Hey it's ok to have different opinions. I just wish for once we could all have a decent conversation without it going down the tubes.

Pleasantly surprised to see you have not bought into the liberal transgender BS. I’ve got a trans student in one of my high school classes I teach n feel bad for her as she’s been misled into believing she is actually a boy. In my opinion she should just live her life as a lesbian and be happy with her body. Also can’t see her competing in American football or boxing against real boys. She’d be hurt.

I pay attention, but find it all fairly ridiculous how much it is being pushed, especially on kids who really do not know what they are. Let the person become an adult and decide what they want to do with their life free of indoctrination.
You tell 'em Smashup, but if you agree to cut off your willy I challenge you to a handbag contest at 162 pounds.

Re: Should transgenered people be allowed to box?
If someone chooses to change their sex then that's their business, however, in a sporting environment particularly in boxing, you have to consider why they have categories and weight divisions... for example...
Katie Taylor v Vasyl Lomachenko - both the same weight (lightweight) and both regarded as the best fighters in their category.
Is a 10 stone man always going to be stronger than a 10 stone woman? Who knows... lets put them in the ring?
Taylor or Lomachenko... Who wins and why???

-
Re: Should transgenered people be allowed to box?
It's really a moot point, because it would never happen. Nobody in their right mind would sanction such a fight, and Loma himself would probably rather smack himself around than fighting a woman.
But for the sake of the argument, Loma would win by scary and damaging knockout.

Your point is the 'moot' one as my point was hypothetical and therefore looking for opinions with valid and relevant arguments therefore I reiterate, they are in the ring together, the bell goes... who wins and why?

Well there was the time undefeated women's kick boxing champion took on a 21 year old fellow who was Australasian may Thai champ or something along those lines. Rijker was knocked out fairly easily.
But obviously lucija rijker is no katie taylor so kayie taylor would win easy, ud of course.
I'd also like to see master take on taylor so I'm all for Transgender people in boxing

@TitoFan
What would make me happy is if you answered the question with proven facts... for instance can you provide and explain what anatomical advantages a man of the same height and weight dimensions as a woman would have in a boxing capacity....??? (Your kick boxing/thai theory has no relevance.}
So I'll ask again... who wins and why and just because Loma is male please explain how this gives him the advantage over Taylor.
I believe if they are matched in weight and skill it's a 50/50 fight regardless of gender.... can you provide some evidence (boxing only) as to why this isn't the case?

I'd also like to see master take on taylor so I'm all for Transgender people in boxing
I would literally fuck Taylor.

Re: Should transgenered people be allowed to box?
So...
We have a thread in which those pissed off that there is not a fight..engineer one. A mod starts calling other posters names, in a very girly childish playground way. Suggests that everyone else join in and help bully a poster for not being a prick, and then turns around and accuse everyone else of doing not just that, but getting turned on by it too .
Then unlikely allies, the mod and the 'EVERYONE IS RANTING BUT ME !!!' chap,....shocked to find themselves singing from the the same hymn sheet, engineer another reason to fall out with each other. ;D

Some of you British guys need to cut back on the Red Bull/ Steroid cocktails.
They're making you quite feisty.
One suggestion:
Cover the name of whoever wrote the post...... respond as you would to any normal person..... and THEN uncover the name and lo and behold.... you might just be talking like a civilized person.

@Beanz
What's with the shouty capitals??? We can all read you in small font. One might think you were beginning to rant in your oversized font.
Still waiting for an intelligent answer... who wins and why?
