I remember getting Jimmy as a present 1 year .
Anyone know this game ?https://www.saddoboxing.com/boxingfo...tid=4889&stc=1
Crossfire was ace. Later banned because of the ball bearings danger to kids - kids ruin everything.
Jimmy rings a bell.....
I remember my older brother having this one which fascinated me.

Don’t remember that Hugo game at all ?? Maybe an American only one ?
Before I got into snooker and then home computers took over Striker and then Super Striker were my absolute favourites. Played for hours. Couldn’t find an advert but the guy in the video below discusses it at 5 mins 37.

There was subbuteo and a table cricket game that was good.
Mark I think Hugo was a Kenner toy, definitely one of a kind. Little bald puppet dude in a blue tunic that came with hundreds of 'disguises' like wigs, scars, eyebrows etc. Used to wake up in the middle of the night with that little creeper fecker on the dresser and have nightmares.
'Football' reminded me of these instant classics! The first version and second were all over the school yard ;D. Thinking about it..has to be considered close to the very 1st widely popular hand-held device for kids? Now they just have phones to zone out on :p. EDIT...apparently now you can leave the 's' on https for vid to show up. Awesome.

Ha kids today must look back at those things and think wtf is that.
Cool ad with Terry Bradshaw. Didn’t know how he was till I watched Better Late Than Never a couple of years ago. Top bloke and very funny.
Really wish I’d kept some of my old games.
I let all my Star Wars collection go in 1992 for 25 quid just to fund a night out as a student :-\
About 30 figures, most still with guns the millennium falcon and Slave 1.......:-\
Absolute class little video this for those who were teenagers in the 80's. Remember so many of these as arcade games, first up at the traveling fair (or at Butlins) and then as Spectrum, Commodore or Amiga Games later. Stick with it to the end as there are some howlers missing but included as 'honorable mentions' ( The Original Mario Bros Arcade game ffs). No Star Wars cabinet either. Even the sound of some of the racers trigger those memories as if it were yesterday watching over someone's shoulder, waiting for a go.

Outrun!
I remember C & VG magazine giving a free cassette with the soundtrack to outrun on and I'd play it in the car when I first passed my test.

Can people remember Farrah trousers at school? They were only wore by the cool kids.
Ha! yes mate. Not being able to afford Farah's was not as bad as being bought a pair of Dunlops for Games/P.E or having to wear plimsolls.
I remember those same kids had either Kickers or Pods to wear with them.

Remember having to buy adidas two stripes trainers or panther (fake puma) football boots from Woolworths. ;D
I can remember my first Harrington Jacket and hassling my mum for a pair of 14 holer Docs like these

and eventually ending up with a black pair that I had to put some of my paper round money toward. They took bloody ages to unlace though ;D
and then it was all about the hightop basketball boots like these (Reebok/Pony etc)

when Electro and Breakdancing came into vogue
Any of the Brits here remember these fellas coming around to sharpen shears and stuff?
https://www.saddoboxing.com/boxingfo...tid=5085&stc=1
That was way before my time. Although in India they have them.
Remember sacks of coal to heat up fires and them being taken around the back of the house and put in small cellar room.
Quite a few of my family (Dad's mob) were rag and bone men, proper Steptoe shit, and I remember the coal fires/sheds in council gaffs too but they were blocked up after all the electric fires went in.
Remember the TV program Jigsaw and the character noseybonk

Scary weird stuff supposedly aimed at under 7s? :o

Dungeons & Dragons was a brilliant cartoon adventure.
The Boy from Space was good remember watching that at school weekly. Do not know why they were showing it.
Knightmare was the first type of real life puzzle and adventure game show.
Worzel Gummidge had a girlfriend aunt sally?
Ok now these were the sheeeet ;D. And the first books I ever stole on the way to school :p

My oldest grandson likes to write his own 'Choose your own adventures'. Yesterday though he and his Nana played an interactive Choose your own survival TV show thing with Bear Grylls.
Can remember the very first computer games in the early 1980s were all text based 'Choose your own adventures : like the legendary' Bards Tale'.
Loved the D n D elements of the brilliant 'Stranger Things' on Netflix and the soundtrack which was a nostalgia fest itself.

I think I last saw one about five or so years ago. Was rather greasy and didn't go back. That soda container is nostalgic itself! In the late 1970s, it was a treat!
McDonalds became the champ and somehow Burger King took 2nd prize, but I remember going to Barn Buster- hoping one day I'd be big enough to get a Barn Buster With Cheese!

3 piece chicken meal for a$1.99 wow!
Safest way to learn action and consequence early I suppose ;D. Had a shit load of these and the D-D offshoot of their own version. Haven't been to my units in couple years but might still be among the boxes.
Mine was Wizardry for the apple II. Remember washing the cars and lugging up to the hobby shop in 82 to pick it up. I get a kick out of watching the 20ish nephews railing on about Stranger things, watched the first 2 seasons and was like.. WE WERE THERE..they got this right, they got this wrong ;D:-X
https://i.imgur.com/Ddum9mb.jpg Remember these things you licked into a Candy-shiv ;D. Tasty but don't stab an eye out.
