Have Valdez more frequent harder lumber last round 8th. Lost track of 7th have no idea ;D. Huh that's a convenient point deduct on Velez for what looked like only first infraction.
Oh harsh combination by Valdez in last 30 seconds of 9th. Landing much more compact.
For a guy who mostly fought like he was a power puncher Tim should cut some slack. Then again he still thinks he actually beat Manny 8-4 so ;DQuote:

That's a wrap. Valdez gets two KDs and ref waves it off early 10th. Velez protests but he was starting to blow in the wind last few rounds but always tough
Looked like it might go the distance... but Velez just got worn out. First stoppage loss for him, which is surprising given how mediocre he is.
Berchelt v Valdez is a top notch fight. But even if Valdez would have stopped Velez in the 1st you'd have to lean to Berchelt. One fight doesn't totally 'improve' a guy but announce team shat all over Valdez to be honest :-X
Valdez has so much promise but the broken jaw at the hands of Quigg completely changed the trajectory of his career. I think that Berchelt easily beats Baldez. I don’t think that Valdez has looked great since he has come back from the broken jaw and Berchelt is the real deal.
I was a big fan of Valdez and when he used to box behind the jab he looked exceptional. I think if anything he needs to move back down in weight. I had Valdez comfortably ahead on the cards here but many of the rounds were close. It does look like fighting against the over weight Quigg and the jaw injury have taken something from him. Berchelt didn't look fantastic last month but I agree that he should easily beat Valdez we have seen recently.Quote:
