May be off and it wouldn't be the first time. In a way may be a case where Martinez comin up short in a highly controversial dec may be the better thing for him in long run.

Martinez looked pretty good but still has a little ways to go in order to hang with the top dogs in the division. He did what he needed to to win though. Marrero just couldn’t put Martinez away in the 8th.
The main event should be a good one. Lipinets is a very watchable fighter... and Custio Clayton is a very live opponent. Expecting fireworks.
I’ve never seen Clayton but I’ve heard that he is supposed to be pretty good. I’ve always thought that Lipinets was a solid fighter.
Goosen always good for a chuckle. Loooong way from the Ruelas brothers. Never forget when he counted along with a perfectly conscious Rafael to rise on the count of 9 ;D:-X. Didn't work out.

That was solid digging by Clayton, backed Lipinets right off. He just doesn't have the look of a guy who will step in to sustain it.

Its nice that Lipinets focuses on the body but he needs to throw to the head more. It’s very rare that somebody doesn’t throw to the head enough

Lipinets is not fighting like the brightest bulb on the tree. Throwing rights like he was Wilder and jab is MIA. Clayton getting away with a bit of bluffing and hunt and peck. Like to see one guy press the initiative

The commentators seem to really like Clayton. While I do think that Clayton has had his moments, he seems to just be barely losing most of the rounds. I can see the fight being close, but I think Lipinets is just out working him for the most part

Lipinets looking more and more like a one-trick pony. However... Clayton just goes backwards too much. Tough 11th round to score. I'd say 6-5 Clayton.
Damn... that last round could've gone either way. It depends on what you like. I thought Lipinets did more than in the previous 2-3 rounds. Fight could very well be a draw.
