This is going to be a tough long bloody fight for Ted. He is boxing well and landing hurtful body shots but Metcalf taking them.

Metcalf took a beating in the 4th round but somehow does well in the 5th.

Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Metcalf has taken over the fight after the bad 4th round and rocked Cheeseman in the 7th. Good fight so far.

He is one tough unit.
I'd actually live to see him Push on and take it now.

Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Cheeseman wins the 9th at last so have him 5-4 up. Very good close fight.

Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Excellent fight and Cheeseman stops Metcalf in the 11th in a war. Both fighters showed bags of heart and courage.
-
Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Cracking fight that!
Hats off to both fellers.
Well done Cheeseman.

Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Well Cheeseman - Metcalf was a war!! Great dust up.
Feel bad for Metcalf though, he did well to get back into that fight!

Some real stones from Metcalf there but fair play to Cheeseman for the finish.

Majorly impressive from Cheeseman

That was a classic British title fight we just witnessed.

Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Molina landing right hands against Fabio which is not a good sign.
-
Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Fabio's hands low and in his pockets will catch up to him some day. Lot's of bouncy nervous energy.

Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Quite a downer after Cheeseman Metcalf.
Messy finish. Wardley takes too many shots to use that style..

Well that was a bit of a shit show. Wardley was getting picked off at times there. Not really seeing anything from him to say he'll make waves in the division though.
-
Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Think Gorman would plough through Wardley.

Seems like a little bit of a spaz trying to do too much all at once, bit all over the place. But fair play good to take an honest heavyweight shot, get rocked and polish off a grizzled war horse at early stage. Lot's of work to do.

Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
I thought that was a trip and Molina was too fat to get up. Fabio is the Johnny Nelson of the heavyweights. Talks a good fight and will be a good commentator when he retires.

Yeah I guess he will tighten up as he moves up in class. Molina was a decent name for this stage, but he seemed to give up there more than got caught with anything significant to put him down and out.

Who are these two UK announcers? Honestly sound much more level and less fanboy than the crew used for Stateside Dazn ;D.
-
Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Povetkin looked like he staggered to the ring. Whyte looks to have some nervous energy during the intros...
Think Whyte will clean him out within 4 or 5.

Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Povetkin on shaky legs in the first round but not from a big punch from Whyte. Povetkin looks shot and old.
1 nil Whyte.
-
Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
What was with Povetkin's legs during that first?
I don't think he was actually that hurt?
-
Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Whyte jabbing and moving well in the 2nd to win the round. Povetkin eye swelling up.
2 nil

My god Whyte throws like a grizzly bear. Golf ball forming under Povetkin s eye.
-
Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Pov is knackered after 2...Whyte seems very edgey...he's always looked wild at times....he's taking the rounds.
-
Re: Whyte v Povetkin 2 - 27/3/21 - Gibraltar - Sky Sports PPV/DAZN
Whyte hurts Povetkin with huge right hands in the 3rd.
3 nil

That's actually what I had thought during the first fight - a couple of times.
I think physically he's massively faded, he's just living on years of experience.
