irrelevant, since that didn't happen. what did happen was a 2 minute melee, where no one got hurt. definitely not a "riot," and definitely not worse than intentionally hitting a fighter in the back of the head and potentially paralyzing or killing him immediately after purposely immobilizing him by punching him in the nuts.
this thread, and the idea that zab should profit from his own cheating, is repulsive. i note that not one of zab's fans who want him to be gifted a DQ win thinks that the man actually won the fight on points. zab didn't think so either--he said after the fight that he was "redeemed" just by lasting 12 rounds and losing without getting KTFO. your man was 100% and was still clearly outclassed. stop crying about irrelevant technicalities and deal with it.

Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
I think if the ref would have done his job and counted a genuine knockdown, that would have given Judah a lot of momentum and made pbf think twice. If that would have counted he might have gotten careless and may have been taken out. The ref sucked for not doing what he should have.
-
Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
116-112 Mayweather. With the knockdown, 115-113. DQ Floyd, he will win the rematch, and clearly Zab can't beat him. Cry all you want. I'm all for the rematch, because if Zab didn't cheap-shot, he would have got KOd! Bring it on, Floyd-Zab 2.
Floyd wins even easier this time.

Floyd wasn't hurt, and even if you scored the knockdown{I did},Floyd still won by at least two points, probably three.

Bullshat. Zab saw that he couldn't hurt Floyd. And, Zab knows, knockdown or not, he didn't hurt Floyd. He hit him with his best shots, and Floyd took them. Then Floyd went to the body, and Zab's heart was took.
Rematch, I bet Zab doesn't want to, because he knows he bailed hisself out, because he was getting his a** kicked!
-
Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
Sorry but I have to disagree sal. It was the last act of a desperate man. If anyone should have been DQ'd it was zab. I do think Judah KD'd mayweather though when he touched down.

You may be right, he was better last night, but just remember no one is invincible. there is always some one out there better the you no matter how bad you are. and there is someone out there better then pbf. he is not that great he is good but not great.

Give us all a break and stop the whining, it's over and will not be changed. The best you can hope for is a rematch for Floyd's title which he shouldn't have right now because he won it from someone who shouldn't of had world champion in front of his name to begin with.

the momentum might have changed.
Momentum was all Judah during the second round. First through fourth, from all reports.
So you are right, getting a point taken from him might have got Floyd mad and he might have taken over the fight sooner, instead of waiting until round 5.
That's what you mean, right?

Floyd isn't invincible, and I don't pretend he is. But, he was whipping Zab, and would beat him worse if they rematch. Only when you're getting your a** kicked do you pull some shat like Zab did.

Let's have a name, then. And I disagree with your premise. If you are the best, then there is no one "out there" better than you. That's what best means. You are saying that the word 'best' is by definition meaningless.
If Floyd is not great, who is?
If Floyd is not great, and there is someone better, then who is it?
I can give you a list of who it's not ... all previous PBF opponents.
Give me one name - who is currently better and is also a viable opponent (none of this P4P or reaching back into historical hypotheticals). Who could Floyd get in the ring with next month and get whupped by?
Onliest one I can take seriously as a threat is Hatton. I have a feeling his first four Judah-like rounds would last a little longer than four rounds. In fact, more than a feeling - a high expectation.
PBF would not be able to wait like he did with Zab, for Zab to lose steam. Hatton doesn't and he won't.
PBF would not be able to wait and 'figure him out' because he will need every round he can get and can't do a hopkins and give away the first half of the fight.
PBF will need to pick a path early and execute it from the get-go - stick and counter, time him, catch him coming in and duck and run and box from the outside, out-point and do not fight close or let Hatton force a close fight. Clinch on the inside, box from the outside.
It will be very hard. Hard to 'time' a swarmer like Hatton. But I pick PBF to win.
So what's that one name, getting back to the question?

DEFINITLEY, if he had to accept that he just suffered a KD on paper, and could no longer say hed never been dropped it may have distracted him just long enough to make a crucial mistake

Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
Zab deserved to get beat and even he acknowledged the legitimacy of his loss. 119-109 wasn't fair but even with the knockdown counted, 115-113 was all you could hope for with all Floyd's rounds well won. Don't try and turn som Don King Buls**** into a moral victory or rationalize Mayweather's superior skills away by talking about gloves. You should be content to take a leaf out of some of the other Judah fan's books and be satisfied with his improved performance. Your boy fought well and exceeded most people's expectations (apart from the low blow and rabbitt punch).

Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
he was assaulted by roger mayweather, thats not an excuse, that = either BAN ROGER FOR LIFE, or DQ floyd...
YOU DECIDE
either way im happy
-
Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
lol this is rediculous. As boxing fans we should want the best man to win... not 'our' man by some technical victory.
Judah did knock Floyd down (Floyd wasn't hurt though). He should have been awarded a 10-8 round. Adjust the scores accordingly and then let me know who won. ::**
Should Mayweather lose the victory (which he won't), Judah will be seen as the loser still, and no one will acknowledge the L on Mayweather's record.
And... Judah had been assaulted from rounds 2-10 from Mayweather. Anyone who says Roger choked Zab for 1 minute is crazy. You honestly think in that mess that Roger could keep ahold of Zab for a full minute? Take out a stop watch and see just how long 1 minute is.
Just acknowledge the legitimate loss. Cry for a rematch so that 'your' man can win legitimately. Personally, I think Zab's success in rounds 1-4 won't be so in a rematch. I think the ass whoopin will start in round 2 after Floyd realizes that this is the same Zab as last time.
Best of luck with your petition.

Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
the reason you reverse the decision is to teach roger a lesson ;)
-
Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
which wouldnt be neccesary if roger had the balls to step up to yoel once he had already started shit, as he would have been taught that lesson physically

he would have been KOd had judah not been choked
-
Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
but floyd was dominating up until the stoppage, zab wasnt throwing enough leather to ko PBF
-
Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
he started throwing again the next rounds, and there were only 5 seconds left in the 10th
-
Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
I think his whole point is that out of the riot Mayweather wasn't the one attacked by a non gloved fighter or choked. I think thats what he's getting at.
-
Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
Yoel may beat Roger, but Floyd beat Zab.
-
Re: SIGN THE PETITION TO OVERTURN MAYWEATHER JUDAH
Yoel gave Roger flashbacks of Chavez. And Roger talks all the trash here and he did hsi rendition of the Judah shuffle, thus Roger can never talk trash again.
Yoel trains Mayorga and will be seeing Roger's brother next ;)

This statement right here takes all credibility from any of your arguments on this matter. You are obviously emotionally tied to Judah and the results of this fight. Logic would tell you that if anything, that riot gave Judah the time he needed to regroup, and the distraction necessary to break Floyd's rythem.
There is absolutely no logical foundation for this conclusion that you've come to. Zab was throwing, he was confident, he was doing pretty good rounds 1-4. But he was never close to taking PBF out. Once Floyd had Zab measured and timed... it was just a matter of whether or not Zab could last 12.

my statement is NO MORE illogical then the statement that PBF would have KOd judah w/o the riot, that was the purpose of the statement

I think that was his way of critisizing people saying that Mayweather would have KO'd Judah without the incident and somehow saying Judah was advantaged by the melee. So he made that statement to critisize the others.
