Manfredo is quite a household name, The Contender was a big hit in the UK. He'd sell tickets for sure.

yeh even though I've ragged on the idea of Calzaghe v Manfredo it does make the most $$$ sense and is only going to build his name more for (lets hope) Tarver when he is done with BHop.

The only way I could see him losing if he gets caught extremly cold, the occasion gets to joe, or he busts his hand early. Other than that, I think that hell would freeze over before an in shape calzaghe would lose to peter. No offence to manfredo though, he's a good fighter but calzaghe is one of the best champions in the sport today.

How do you work that one out, did you not read the article??
RJJ wants to much money he still thinks he is obviously worth what he ues to be, if it was his biggest payday the fight would happen.

I LOVE HOW EVERYONE THINKS THAT MANFREDO WILL GET EMBARASSED.  HE'S FAST, CRAFTY AND HAS A GREAT CHIN...  I HOPE THIS FIGHT IS MADE SO THAT WIN OR LOSE YOU'LL ALL SHUT YOUR MOUTHS ABOUT HIM BEING "NOTHING"  HES RANKED A MEDIAN OF 12TH BY THE GOVERNING BODYS...  I CANT SAY I CAN SEE HIM BEATING HIM,YET....  BUT MAN, IT WOULD BE A GOOD SHOW.

yeah right..that dude's a gimmick....yeah he can box...I mean I can box I've had 30+ amateur fights...but do I belong in the same ring with Calzaghe? don't think so....
He will get torn up and stopped quickly...Gatti v Mayweather comes to mind...

the same guy's ranked Jeff Lacy number 2 and Joe ate him whole and spat him out... It wouldn't be a good show it would be over in under 3 rounds. Manfredo has a lot of potential but it seems people are trying to bring him up too quickly just because he KOd pemperton.

Not to be a smart ass...but what is Sergio Mora ranked?
The Contender pumped a lot of cash into boxing's bank...sure their gonna rank two of their more prominent fighters...but trust me...once Mora & Manfredo match skill for skill with the legit fighters & real contenders (NOT T.V.'s PRETENDERS) they will lose & again...no one will be talking about them.
