From watching the fight it looked like Green thought he would catch Miranda with a big counter shot(like that left hook) and didnt expect Miranda's jab to be as good as it was.
What went wrong? He was fighting Edison Miranda.
But apparently Lennox thought that him coming down from 168 took a toll on his body because he didnt look as energized.
Anyone buying that ???

What happened to Green? Miranda happened to him. Once he felt his power, Green became scared to let his hands go. The one time he did, he hurt and floored Miranda. Once a fighter becomes scared to let his hands go, he's pretty much lost the fight. Green lost it in the first round.

Re: Allen Green . I didn’t see the technical superiority that lots of folks were talking about before the match ? acting like Miranda is some kind of brainless knob or something ? Miranda was schooling Green something fierce , Miranda was out boxing out punching and putting on serious pressure the whole course, even when Edison knew he had it in the bag, he still comes out in the 12 with serious intent and finishes strong . ! Miranda is everything you love to see in a prize fighter !

Perfect post,CC. I have only seen 2 Green fights,so I could not really comment on his boxing skills but if that is what everyone was alluding to,you must be joking right!!What skills? yelp Green was having problems with Miranda's superior strength and overall determination factor. to Allen's credit he really did all he could. sometimes in a match you get caught with a shot at some point and your body does not do what your mind is telling it, almost like a short circuit. even though your up right and not out ! your still not functioning on all cylinders, so you try and adapt to the situation as it is and make the best of it . that’s what I think happened to Green , He did what he could

I just find it ironic that some of these boxers(Green being a great example)talk the talk,but look at how he fought. Things got so heated between these 2 that they did not even pose for photos before the fight. Green ran his mouth over and over and over.Pantera responded by saying wait until the fight and he was right. I'm sure Green has to donate like $150,000 to charity now or something..they had a bet,I posted it a while ago...Green's idea ::** ;D

Yeah when someone starts the trash talk and all that tuff guy shit , It kind of gives me a stiffy ! ;D the real guys don't say nothing. Usually very polite and quite, those are the fighters you better watch out for ! the mouths on the other hand are just trying to boast confidence in themselves a sign of self doubt. not always, but usually.

suprised by the Miranda result - i thought it would be points victory for Green or stoppage by Miranda = not a points win for Miranda!
sounds like it was not a battle of skill V power, but more about courage ? shows that regardless of the weight, Miranda can certainly crack.
Let's hope miguel's cut dont put of the Zab fight.

You are right :coolclick: How can you not like Miranda????? He is tough as nails crowd pleasing personable fighter, who is determined to leave it all in the ring if he had to, he fights with courage and heart.. Oh!! and a Thunderbolt of a right hand ;D.... Miranda has been growing on me little by little after the Eastman fight, I can tell you this kid is in my top 5 for favorites...

Now see...I like Miranda...but Green was the superior boxer in technique.
He just did what many others would do...he lost his head after getting clocked & tasting that power. I just don't feel so sure about Miranda as a whole.

Watch the match again & you'll see that Miranda does a good bit of lunging & looping with his punches. You can almost see them coming before he throws them.
Green's the better boxer...but Miranda's the harder hitter...at the end of the night it didn't make a bit of a damn because Miranda owned him. Green just fell apart when he got clocked.

Miranda was not hurt from that punch...It was a studder step...Green was in no way close to having Miranda on ice from that. Even if he jumped on him the second he got up
