Hows all with you mate?
All is ok. I applied for another job in the NHS today. Tis much closer to home.
Hows things with you?
By the way, we really must discuss the Hatton vs. Lazcano fight. Firstly...are you going? Secondly do you think this is a good move? I read that they're very close to getting Paulie on the undercard to this to setup a megafight later this year in NYC at the Garden. Should Paulie pull out of this plan, Torres will be brought in and Hatton will fight Torres in Vegas. Either way, Ricky for a 140 title by the year end. What you think?
Re: Saddo's Bar & Gentlemens Club.
Glad to hear everything is OK mate, and it's good that your going home, it would be even worse if you felt seperated from your family.
By and large everythin is ok, my GF is doing really well and baby is dead healthy, my Dad went in for a bunch of tests sterady, but hopefully it's something minor.
I think Hatton Lazcano is not a bad idea and may provide a better fight than we expect. I feel that Ricky needs a confidence builder and Lazcano has been weakened enough to provide a decent win, whilst still giving a reasonable fight. Obviously I favour Ricky by KO but the hispanic, may just take him for a run first.
After that I heard rumopur sof Paulie being next, I feel either Paulie or Torres is the right idea as they atee both winnable fights and not the hardest (witter is the toughest task available) If Ricky gets through all the above, then he'll be in flying form for a bout with Witter, which I anticipate half way through next year...
I can't go in May because the baby is due on the 28th!!!!!

Well how inconsiderate is that? If it were me, I'd stick my head up there and tell it to stay in for a couple of extra weeks so you can go to the fight!
I'm torn between what is the toughest fight out there. I have a concern with what Ricky has said about Witter. I hope he doesn't have it in his mind that Witter has a chance because as soon as you concede that you might as well not show up. Hatton would cream him on his best day, but I wanna see him recover from the lost before going in there with Junior.
I'm gunna try and make my way to the Hatton fight, but I know getting tickets will be a struggle, so I'll see what I can do. Only a week and a half till Haye vs. Macca. I can't wait. My only concern is that it could be over quick. I knew when I went to see Cotto-Mosley it would last at least until the later rounds and the undercard was great so I was always going to get my money's worth, but this is a gamble.
Re: Saddo's Bar & Gentlemens Club.
I think Ricky beats Junior no problems, but If he goes in there without getting his confidence up I feel he'll look terrible.
Thats the danger with Macca Fights, they always end early...I was really looking forward to seing him fight on the Manfredo Calzaghe card and he only stayed around for a round! Now thats inconsiderate!!!

I know, against the quality that is Bobby Gunn as well! Don't get me wrong, I've always thought Ricky would have the beating of Junior. But when confidence is down, it's not the time to go in against a guy who has all the motivation in the world to win. You know I think Witter is a prick. Part of me wants the fight to be made just so I can see Witter flat on his back questioning "what the fuck happened to me!!?"
Frank Maloney is promoting the Lazcano fight! Fight News is reporting it.
Re: Saddo's Bar & Gentlemens Club.
Well my primary reason for holding hatton back from a Junior fight, is that Junior has a style to make Ricky look awful even in winning. So I think Ricky should go in sharp maybe after 2 more fights.
I don't like seeing Maloney promoting, not because I don't like Maloney, but because I'm worried that the Hatton's are messing p with promoters and burning bridges.

I was surprised to read that because I was under the impression GBP still wanted a piece of the English money making pie. They know there would still be a shit load of fans there.
Re: Saddo's Bar & Gentlemens Club.
Thats what I was thinking, getting involved in promoting a Hatton fight in Manxchester is money for jam so why wouldn't they jump at the opportunity? Maybe because of a dispute?:-\

Well Oscar sorted out a dispute with Arum...so he can't be THAT unreasonable. I hope it isn't a dispute. Ricky would be burning a major bridge there.
My thinking is that as this isn't going to be late to cater for American TV, Golden Boy didn't fancy stumping up the cash, but will likely end up having a piece of the Malignaggi fight later in the year when American TV will put it on PPV.
Re: Saddo's Bar & Gentlemens Club.
I think thats exactly what the situation may be...
I've always been irratated that UK ifghts wait til late to compensate for US viewers, but the US make no efforts at all for anyone outside their borders.

Yeah but they're American, so they can do what they like. They won a war for the entire world for fucks sake, so be grateful. If you don't believe me, watch Pearl Harbour, it explains everything.
Re: Saddo's Bar & Gentlemens Club.
Ha Ha true enough....
Are you going to watch Vasquez-Marquez this weekend?
It's not on Sky, so I'm just going to check the Setanta listings now.

Re: Saddo's Bar & Gentlemens Club.
British TV isn't covering it at all. I'm pissed off. My stream subscription ran out too, and I can't renew it right now.
Go in the boxing talk forum and see what is said about "Witter calling Hattons bluff" when you get chance.
Re: Saddo's Bar & Gentlemens Club.
Right!!! That demands a thread of it's own!!! I can't believe a potential fight of the year is not televised over here!!!!
I'll head to that thread now!!!

Re: Saddo's Bar & Gentlemens Club.
Donny, the fight was amazing at the weekend. You missed a fight of the decade. I'll hook you up with a decent live stream so you have have HBO on your laptop if you want?
