140 000 voters leaving the GOP is a rounding error out of 75 million votes cast last November. Party registration always jumps around a lot. I would still bet that the next election comes down to tens of thousands of votes either way in a few battleground states like the last two have which means the current GOP gleichschaltung programme detailed in that autopsy report is even more horrific. Here's another part of it:

Interestingly Biden's very popular infrastructure bill becomes even more popular when voters hear the money to pay for it will come from increased corporate taxes. Here's the GOP counter offer such as it is:

The party of the working classes.
And if you thought the Nazi reference above was unfair then you have to deal with the fact that the GOP is currently normalising white supremacy and making it acceptable to Americans. This is not promising for America's future at all:

If you say it is a rounding error, ok. The way I read the article wasn't so much about the party losing voters, it was about why there was a surge in voters changin over a short period.
People leave parties for various reasons but this was an instance of raising the question- how many left as a response to January 6th.
The biggest spikes in Republicans leaving the party came in the days after Jan. 6, especially in California, where there were 1,020 Republican changes on Jan. 5 — and then 3,243 on Jan. 7. In Arizona, there were 233 Republican changes in the first five days of January, and 3,317 in the next week.
I would also agree the next election will come down to what you stated. The country has always voted around 50-48 with a 2% demographic that is swayed from one party to the other.

This quote gets me: top Republican on the Environment and Public Works Committee, is stuck in the middle of the struggle, said she's crafting a "conceptual Republican bill" that includes investments in roads and bridges.
"We're working on that right now. We haven't made consensus on it," she said.
Republicans had the house, senate & oval office and weren't held accountable. So we're right back where we always end up. One party saying no to something needed, then offering nothing in return.
One thing I will say about Biden- sure is nice to know our president isn't being flown around to golf resorts to rallies that sell foreign merchandise in USA's name.
Wonderful knowing we have a president that allows Twitter to be a social platform, not a presidential bullhorn to shit out tweets of malice.
A chance to give him- a chance.
Hold Both parties accountable for presenting bills, or countering bills as opposed to lip service.
Multitasking is great when it's relative to the job. Playing golf, doing I am the world tours IMO isn't the best way to show one's ability to do several things at once.
Really a shame another election and we're rehashing the same topic(s) president after president after president.
If infrastructure can be tackled that will take both parties. Hopefully neither stands in the other's way.:-\
I can definitely get behind a true infrastructure bill. Deficit spending is a major issue but when your spending on this that keep shit moving that can collapse on peoples heads and what not it makes sense. I remember an article I think it was the Japanese pm taking a tour with Schwarzenegger or another governor he was looking at the state of LA infrastructure and he said, “fixing this shit now is gonna be cheaper than doing it when it completely rots” I mean that’s what we try to do with our homes and shit try to avoid major expensive fixes down the line by keeping up with shit.I drive on one of FDR’s projects during the Great Depression regularly. It is kept up but it two lanes and it was built for traffic speeds, cars and congestion of the era. It’s like a death trap now. Takes me right to NY get in the left lane I find myself doing 90mph to keep up with the flow of traffic then you hit these curves everyone brakes to 50mph it’s like a race track. I head out west see those newer roads what a difference. A good infrastructure bill would make sense. But where will it go? Will it be in name only? I hope we can get something right I’ve driven on some highways in China that were beautiful but no one wants to drive on the damn things because of all the tolls. But they were beautifully built roads.

Good to see the President take climate change seriously unlike his predecessor.
I'm hoping Biden takes seriously something else too, that his last 3 (THREE) predecessors didnt take seriously and Obama even broke his 2008 campaign promise on it that he WOULD RECOGNIZE it but he did NOT, and we never forgot:
Recognizing this Saturday, April 24th, THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE by the Turks.
IN the past, Turkey's arm-twisting of Obama and Trump was "well we are such good friends and wink-wink you have a big airforce base at Incirlik that we could wink-wink shut down if we want, so, yeah..... about that Armenian Genocide....."
The sting of Obama not following thru on his 2008 campaign pledge on this still lingers in the worldwide Armenian Diaspora. Samantha POwer Obama's UN Ambassador and also Ben RHodes both PUBLICLY expressed extreme disappointment with Obama that he didn't keep his campaign pledge and didnt act on the matter. Obama, like Trump, was more concerned about US airforce bases in Turkey after Erdogan twisted both their arms. Trump kissed Erdogan's ass and I called him out on it constantly.
Biden has sought to send the message that he will make the US a greater force on calling out and recognizing human rights abuses around the world.
If Joe Biden, unlike Trump and Obama the Erdogan ass-kissers, formally recognizes The Armenian Genocide this week, he will be the first US President to do so and the Armenian Diaspora and the world as a whole will be very impressed and he will deserve great praise for it.
Let us pray.

this man is a hero, and how the Dems couldnt STAND to hear what he said. Cohen shit his pants! bwaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahha
For some reason a video of Putin came to mind reading this. he stated he felt Obama was a decent man and well intentions. But when he became leader he learned there are other leaders (for USA)
This isnt the video, but it is an on the spot moment of how the 2 viewed each other:

I think he means what I mean- the POTUS is so severely limited, we as a people refuse to accept this- so we deem it to be about partisanship as opposed to reality. realistically speaking -if something were done- IMO it is because the powers that be saw something beneficial for them.
Just like all the murder in Sudan. One would think under Bushr Jr, Obama & Trump all terrorist acts of murder were exclusively in the Middle East. So I think Africans will continue to suffer and the Armenian Genocide will be bookmarked for a later time (when someone/group) finds it beneficial for them/us to do something about it.
He's kinda right. I mean of course it is easy to get an ID. But I do wonder why black republicans claim democrats want power for themselves -as if we haven't witnessed that from Republicans.:-\
And 2nd amendment statement he made IMO was/is garbage. it is a narrative- that he is repeating- has nothing to do with voter registration.
I wait for a Republican to address all issues and not the i.d. by itself. The concept of gerrymandering, the concept of closing polls in blacks' areas. Stopping early voting. not gun rights talk in an arguement over voting.
And again- addressing why it took till Bush Jr to require voting ID the way it is now. To me that is the bigger question: what happened in 2002, that we finally came to such a conclusion?
Could be an easy answer that I just haven't heard.
1. At the federal level, the Help America Vote Act of 2002 requires a voter ID for all new voters in federal elections who registered by mail and who did not provide a driver's license number or the last four digits of a Social Security number that was matched against government records.[
2. State laws required some sort of identification at voting polls go back to 1950 (Jim crow era)
3. No state required a voter to produce a government-issued photo ID as a condition for voting before the 2006 elections. Indiana became the first state to enact a strict photo ID law.
The American people are owed an explanation of how all this came to be in 1950 law/requirement & 2002 law/requirement.
This doesn't excuse Democrats. I think everyone should have an ID, not for voting. But because it makes sense!! If they do that, they kill a silly arguement. IMO it is silly to not want ones' constituents to have an ID. I will acknowledge it is HARD to get with no proof. Took me several months to get my Ohio ID when I lost my Wisconsin...but it did NOT take 4 years.
But I do question how/when these laws came to be- what was reasoning when the 2002 law submits no proof of major voter fraud to justify.
As an Independent I find it ok, because in America Putin was only considered a dictator up till 2016. From 2016-2020 Right wingers called him a leader, many right wing pundits did shows on why we weren't allies with them-but should be!
My point was to use their own Putin as one who does NOT like Obama, yet he didn't state Obama failed because he was a bad leader. He is simply stating what I find to be true- his words were something like :Every president who comes to power has expectations, but it isnt until they actually become leader that they find what they are capable of doing/not being able to do.
https://youtu.be/URCz2uc4t20
You are correct he is a dictator. Nevertheless I agreed with his statement- USA leaders aren't as independent as we suspect. I think he knows better than the average voter of what a global leader faces, be he a leader or a dictator.
an example- FIX, I mean FOX goes on about 3/4th of this clip talking on everything BUT Trump & Putin. even states there was russian interfence in the elections :o (so he could say Obama did nothing) then contemplates- if Trump would have stood up to Putin, Democrats would have hated that- with one major problem- he didn't, why even raise the statement? as always- everyday it is a bash media with FOX.
He states Obama constantly capitulated to Russia, gave an expose! Obama betrayed Ukraine. Yet when it came time to run the gamut on Trump- he deflected & went back to the media gangbang narrative. Obama sanctions= nothing. Trump sanctions= great!
Obama= lets talk Putin.
trump= lets be general and say Russia -never say what Trump is doing to Putin. but always say- Obama capitulated to Putin, led from behind.
My point is to show how Americans who voted for Trump did NOT see Putin as you & myself do; a dictator. BUT Putin didn't have this malice to say Obama failed because he was a bad leader. In context he stated again what I feel- there are limitations. My apologies I can't find that video, but as your position of him being a dictator- it appears a moot point with you, so I understand your position.
Sorry, this is the video on right wingers seemingly desirous of Putin and loathesome of Obama

I am sure I speak on behalf of all of us in the Armenian Diaspora, so I would like to say:
***THANK YOU JOE BIDEN FOR HAVING THE COURAGE TO STAND UP TO TURKEY FOR THE FIRST TIME ANY PRESIDENT HAS DONE THAT SINCE RONALD REAGAN. AND PLEASE JOE BIDEN DO NOT GIVE IN AFTER 60 DAYS LIKE RONALD REAGAN DID DUE TO TURKISH PRESSURE***
Gotta say I got a letter from the IRS today. Got freaked out a bit, I just figured I did something wrong reporting crypto and they were coming to arrest me. So I opened it up and it was a letter from president Biden telling me he put money in my account for the stimulus thingy. Didn’t people freak out and say “how dare” when the last president did that? I don’t give a shit either way tbh. I am giving a portion of my stimulus to a homeless shelter and a food bank. Selective outrage again, maybe Joe wrote it nicer than whoever the president was that created the uproar sending out the other checks. At least Biden isn’t a racist. As long as you don’t dig into his history and listen to a few of his speeches in the senate. But people don’t do that anyway, it’s obvious Joey has not a racist bone in his body. I’m putting the rest of my stimulus on that special olympics dude running up the stairs
I must've missed all the uproar about who did what or put whose name on whatever checks.
Silly me... I tend to get distracted by more trivial matters like inciting violence on the Capitol and spreading bogus election steal rumors.
BTW... good on you for putting your stimulus check to humanitarian use. Mother Theresa would be ever so jealous.
How dare you talk about Jo Jorgensen like that. Jo is my gal. If you would have voted for Jo not Joe, cryptocurrency would have gone through the roof. You could have brought some of that cloudcoin and then the Russian version called KloudKoin from the Berkshires up there where you hike all the way down into the Caribbean. Basically a coastal investment boost from north to south. Jorgensen is My Gal in more ways than one hehehe. Think 1987. Think a beer and pot party. Think a real good time! No choice but to give her my vote 💪
Well I checked this AM and I noticed a lot of red in the crypto market. There were a few issues the past couple weeks from power outages in China, some sanctions of Russian wallets, energy consumption, pending government regulation and taxes and a few more I’m probably forgetting. It is good strategy not to look at its performance evert five minutes, zoom out as we say. Like I read I headline “bitcoin crashes to 49k” well if you zoom out you will see it crashed from under a penny to 49k in about 12 years. So you gotta keep perspective. Etherium “crashes to 2,000” yeah I bough it at 7 dollars. Gee big crash I’m panicking. Yeah if you just got in I understand it’s a different story but panic selling isn’t a good strategy. Buy high sell low. Don’t get into shit if you don’t have appreciation for it’s future. Full disclosure I got into a couple “shit coins” recently. Sure enough I’m down like 12% in a day but me and a coworker got this thing going on who can do best with a shit coin in 90 days. I’m talking very small amounts here. Gee I sure hope he isn’t doing worse than me. I also hope he didn’t go crazy and bet the farm, this is just suppose to be a friendly funny thing he may be thinking lambos, cocaine and hookers, shit I better give him a call.

And cute with the mother Theresa comment good one. You should add Florence your buddy Beanerschnitz. He liked that one but for whatever it’s worth I’ll tell you my thoughts on that. I hear quite often, and I include myself in this, why doesn’t the government do something about this and then all the BS talk starts about which party snd how much money etc. it’s seems to be a regular thing which I am guilty of myself. And so easy to point and say what is wrong with what. One day I asked someone I was having that type of conversation with what they themselves do to help the situation. They said, “I pay my taxes it’s not my job.” Then i posed the question to myself and honestly I wasn’t doing much either. Unfortunately I can’t be a professional philanthropist but I could do much more than I was. After working at a homeless shelter I saw how much they can do with a fifty dollar donation. Quite frequently I’d be working by myself, someone would buzz the front door and drop off 10,20,50 bucks or a pack of socks or a pound of coffee. I thought it was really cool and I felt kinda bad I didn’t take the time to do do stuff like that. Maybe the answer to some of these problems are simpler than we think. What if everyone in town who could dropped off 5 bucks a month? I mean you don’t have to give a lot. Those small donations were much more consistent than the big checks. So yeah I changed a few things so I could do a little more rather than just bitch about things. I wish I could say I give a lot but that would be a lie. That shelter is now redoing three floors that they have been unable to do because of asbestos. I wish I could write a check cover the whole thing. That is actually housing for forty people if my math is correct. So yeah my wife and I have a side gig selling stuff online. We picked a percentage to donate every month and if we end up with a little extra from trading or in this case joe joe Biden’s stimulus wtf, add some more. I have a feeling we the people can make a much bigger difference if we do a little something about all the shit we bitch about. Volunteer work to which I’ve done, sometimes a few hours put in is more needed than money. That gets difficult managing time but it’s not impossible. It’s not about being mother Theresa, people who are willing to dismiss their lives for others don’t come around that often. It’s just doing at least a little something, but with all the racists around it doesn’t happen much.
Or is say fuck it and buy one of these

General Question: What are your biggest criticisms of Biden so far?
Disclaimer: The above question is aimed mostly at non-Trumpers, who will steer away from answers such as "Biden is a waste of oxygen", or the now en vogue (by one Trumper) "Biden is the best POTUS ever."... and land somewhere in the middle.
To me, I'd mention the following areas:
1. The southern border. Whatever Trump was doing... wasn't working. What Biden is doing is working even less. It's obvious we haven't had an effective, workable solution to the migrant problem at the border. 'Nough said.
2. LGBTQ. In a rush to bend over backwards (excuse the pun) for this high-pressure group... Biden's risking pissing off the rest of mainstream society which... at last count... still makes up the vast majority of the voting public.
3. In short... Biden seems to be catering/caving to the extremists, and disappointing the moderates who voted for him. Not a good move, IMO.
He’s only been in 100 days. He acted to quickly changing the border stuff but what the hec I’m still hoping he does well. I’m not going to rip him apart at day 100. Sure there are somethings he’s doing I don’t care for but so what. I’m wondering if some of his tax plans are just bad timing with the economy trying to bounce back, raising the capital gains on the higher earners will have an impact on 401k and middle class investors but it’s not like there is anything solid yet. I’ll reserve my judgement it doesn’t really matter much anyway although it gets some people upset. We are all just writing words from thoughts or observations. No one has the market cornered in those that I know of. All we are saying, is give Joe a chance.
I love boring Government. Trying to take notes on this address tonight but I need a drink. And yes..he'll flub :-X. Oh and yes the talk of 6 trillion anything makes me wince.
He still hasn't announced the burger limit yet.... I am disapoint
Cutting the corporate tax rate by a third had absolutely fuck all effect when Trump did it a few years ago other than to send corporate profits skyrocketing. Trump cutting the top rate of tax likewise had no effect on economic growth. Why would raising the top rate back where it was have any effect on economic growth?
Capital gains tax is being increased on people making a million dollars a year. How will this affect 401ks and middle class investors exactly?
