Lewis's trainer at the time was the same as Tyson...Cus D'amato for them two weeks he was there,I'v heard it from the horses mouth so to speak,I know what I'm saying, like I said Tyson had the better of every sparring session, some sessions he maybe was'nt as dominant as others but it was either Steve Lott or Teddy Atlas who definetly said Tyson always had the better of Lewis in every sparring session.
P.S. Now that I remember I'm 95%it was Steve Lott who said that.It was from an interview he gave to TysonTalk.com .Infact it was my question he answered, the administrator(however u spell it) of TysonTalk.com announced he was due to interview Steve Lott............. for the website a few months back and invited people to send in questions, the point is this is how I know. You should check out the site yourself,it might still have the interview
Sorry man,I aint trying to start up an argument, just trying to set things straight u know,
Peace
23 pages of this? Wow! Anyway, I would take a prime Lewis over prime Tyson. LL was/is just to big and fast for Mike. Would have KILLED to see this fight when it should have happened.
Ha Ha,I got the guy wrong along,it was Tom Patti, not Steve Lott or Teddy Atlas,
however I dug up the link to that interview, here it is http://tysontalk.com/article-564-thread-0-0.html
P.S.Lyle my question is under the name "muzzo",in fact I asked him two questions, enjoy!
Oh I must be mistaken then because I read of Lennox's 1 and only Amateur coachQuote:

Also might I say #1 that's TYSONTALK, it's a pro Tyson website....#2 FSN Behind The Glory Mike Tyson covered the amateur sparring story and debunked this "Tyson dominated" myth
Man,I hate to drag this on but I think ur confused judging from that link you posted, about lewis's trainer at the time, what I meant was that when Lewis was at the Catskills for two weeks it was Cus D'amato who looked after him aswell as others for them two weeks, plus judging from that I think you think I'm trying to say Lewis never had the better of Tyson professional wise, man I know all the Tyson/Lewis pro fight from 2002,lol,i'm not talking about that,I'm talking about when they sparred as amatuers. You know what I'm saying??Quote:

Cus NEVER trained Lewis, maybe gave him some pointers but never trained him....look at his style dude
this thread still going on???? Can someone just make a poll please lol and we will do it that way!
Actually what I read was that Tyson for the first sessions beat the crap out of Lewis, but Lewis kept coming back. Lewis started to figure Tyson out and started to do well against him. This was what Cus D'Amato quoted and later said that the two boxer will meet for the heavyweight title some day.Quote:

Thats why i go with Lewis beating a prime Tyson.
You get a cool click for that!Quote:

Just an observation that a flicking straight arm loses to the onslaught of power hooks & uppercuts that came from Prime Mike.
