Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Hatton vs Collazo
PBF vs Hatton would be like PBF vs Gatti Hatton need to go down to 140 there is plenty of great fights and I still think he would be man to beat at 140. No way he would beat PBF after that performance tonight.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Hatton vs Collazo
Judah probably would have knocked Hatton out tonight. The southpaw style combined with the speed, power and reflexes would have given Hatton fits. Seriously, he needs to get back down to 140 right now and hope Mayweather stays where he is.
Collazo vs. Margarito anyone?

that did not go according to the script...not by a long way...
Hatton didn't have an off night. Collazo had an on night and exposed Hattons flaws I been telling ya'll Hatton fans about for years ::**

That 12th round should tell you enough about what Judah would have done to Hatton.

Tried to call...that was a bullshat decision IWO.
Collazo should have atleast gotten a fwockin draw!
Watch it while sober then, would be my advice. Every single one of you are focusing too much on the last round because Hatton got hurt. Are you forgetting the other 11 rounds? A 2 point round for Hatton in the first.
How did Harold Lederman have it scored? 114-113 to Hatton, I believe. How did Sky have it? Both commentators for Hatton. All 3 judges for Hatton. Collazo is a Don King fighter. You really think they screwed a Don King fighter?
You guys expected too much and Hatton didn't deliver. That does not mean he didn't win though. What about when Floyd lost to Castillo, which he did? Should he have moved back down a weight? Fighters aren't entitled to bad nights?
Honest to God, I have never met a more fickle bunch of people in my life, utterly incapable of stepping back and taking a measured look at the fight.
Rather than considering that Hatton simply had a bad night against a very good southpaw on his first fight at welterweight, he's overrated, should move down a weight and should be out of the P4P list. Nice one, guys.
:coolclick: for a sound post...
to be honest im still trying to put together my thoughts about what happened out there....
every fighter is entitled to an off night, but the hatton camp needs to work on stopping an repeats....
that cant happen again...there is too much at stake...

I hope you're right but stamina is one of Hattons' biggest assets but it just didn't seem to follow him up to welter. An off night doesn't explain that unless he took Collazo too lightly and didn't train hard enough. Can't see Billy Graham standing for that though so I'm not sure that explains it.

I guess I was wrong about the Hatton fans no longer bitching about the Castillo fight...
No one is bitching about the Castillo fight. I'm drawing a comparison. Should I not do that when it makes most of the people in this thread sound like hypocrites? My point is fighters are entitled to a bad night and even more so then they challenge a very good southpaw for a world title at a new weight.
It's just your typical knee jerk reaction from people eager to see Hatton taken down a peg.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Hatton vs Collazo
Still like Hatton's chances against Floyd.
The Southpaw stance was the difference in Hatton's performance IMO.
Hatton will do fine at 147 as long as he sticks to the guys moving up to it like he has (Floyd, Cotto, Gatti etc.) but I think Margarito is out of the picture for the Hitman now.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Hatton vs Collazo
How can you honestly say hatton outright lost that fight? It was close, but you start off with an automatic 10-8 round. Throw that out and I can see it going either way, but you can't. Hatton won the fight and that's the bottom line. He had knockdowns, was more aggressive, set the pace, had a higher punch output AND punches landed in a back and forth fight.

Wasn't his off night Magee, and Vilches ??? This was a situation of Hattons flaws getting exposed again :)

no im off to try to figure out how in the fuck to utilize the functions performed by 3Danalyze ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Oh, there's no doubt the stamina wasn't there tonight. I think that possibly had a lot to do with being in against a natural welterweight. Hatton couldn't bully him as you would expect. My biggest regret about this fight is that it has given Starr the minor excuse he/she/it needed to go on on of her patented self-obsessed, logically and factually flawed rants.

at the end of the day hatton got the job done, it might not have been pretty but it sufficed. this is hattons first fight at a new weight and he was fighting for a belt, its a start. it was far from perfect but its a start....there is no reason why hatton cannot learn from this and get better....

Throught 4 straight rounds Collazo outpunched Hatton 45 to 24.
Thats 4 rounds automatic Collazo. And Collazo also beat Hatton for 2 other rounds in a slow pace where Hatton couldn't do anything, and he messed him up that 12th round. Have it 8 rounds to 4 for Collazo or 7 rounds to 5 Collazo.
Like I said, props to Hatton for standing up in that 12th round. THe 12 knockout Collazo had him on dream street but Hatton didn't win that fight ime.

Floyd would do worse to Hatton because of his shorter arms then Collazo on the inside, Floyd also will clinch at a slant and not straight in like Collazo so he would land Hatton there too, and Floyd has a good jab to the head and pit of the stomach which when Collazo used was effective.
Like I've been saying, let Hatton fight Mayweather and get slaughtered. He fought Collazo and got tenderized and nearly put through the grinder in the 12th :)
