With a head that size he's in deep shit, and I thought Hatton had the shorter arms, hope they scrape the grease from his hair though. Or is that how he gets the extra weight on.............

Hatton has great footwork

I bet you didn't even know who Ricky Hatton was prior to this fight being made.
How can you not think Ricky Hatton is extemely quick on his feet? He can get within and out of range very well. He closes down his opponents very quickly, so much so that it's almost impossible for opponents to get off effective combinations against him. That will be a difficulty Pac will face too. If you would like to actually put a cogent argument back my way I would be impressed, as it is your smileys sum you up well. The true archetype of the Pac hugger.

I can imagine the pounding Manny will take likely causing his head to actually balloon to those proportions. Forget Pac man, and say hello to the elephant man! ;D:p

;D Actually this is a fight on who gets damaged first, Hatton's face/head or PAC's body... But I won't be surprised either if PAC will KO Hatton with a body shot... ;D

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
SaddoBoxer,
Pac doesn't necessarily end up with a perfect clean face either after his fights.
-
Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
Yeah can't wait for this one, even as a Hatton fan i know it can go either way quite easily on the night. Still think he is way too underated though.perfexct scenario, they both beat the shit out of each other for 12 solid rounds get a draw and do it again. We can just cut and paste all these old posts...

Pac cuts quite easily himself, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get busted up in this one...

Now that you mentioned Malignaggi, here's his latest comments on Hatton:
"Holt, Bradley, Judah and Pacquiao KOs Hatton" ... I agree with Malignaggi...;D
"This is not a knock on Buddy personally, but I left the ring three years ago when I fought Miguel Cotto and I said ‘wow, for anybody to beat this guy, and I’m not saying he’s unbeatable, you will be in a fight.’ Three years later, I’m still right about that,” he said. “I got out of the ring with Hatton and you know what I said? Kendall Holt will knock this guy out, Tim Bradley will knock this guy out, Zab Judah will knock this guy out, and the winner of (Manny) Pacquiao-(Oscar) De La Hoya will knock this guy out. This isn’t even a knock on Hatton. People will read this and say ‘Paulie’s being a sore loser.’ Hatton and his family treated me unbelievably; they were the nicest people I’ve met in this business; they’re awesome people. So this is not a personal knock on Ricky, but at the end of the day, I call it as I see it. Some people don’t like my honesty, and some people think I’m making stuff up because I’m a sore loser. But I will take this to my grave, and people can call me crazy, call me a sore loser, call me whatever they want, but if I’m Paulie Malignaggi, Ricky Hatton doesn’t touch me in the ass with a handful of rice for 12 rounds.”

Malignaggi has a long history of talking crap. He was dominated and made to look like a total idiot. Seems like a serious case of bitterness from Paulie and an inability to take responsibility for his own performances. It takes Paulie 3 years to realise things weren't working right?;D
He's a muppet and had the fight knocked out of him, McGirt was giving Paulie some decent advice but Paulie chose to ignore it and keep ducking low and hugging on the inside. If he stayed on the outside Hatton would have stopped him sooner anyway so maybe it was sensible for him to just try and survive.
And as for Malignaggi saying all those guys would beat Hatton, well that's just Paulie talking himself even further down the list.

Manny is just too strong? He is fast but he has never been a one punch knock out artist has he now. Hatton has knocked out big men. Manny hasn't, so to suggest Manny is too strong, when it's Hatton who is the proven man at the weight, and is known to physically overwhelm his opponents....well, not exactly an insightful couple of sentences from Martinez.

Wrong... They're all much faster than Hatton and that speed advantage will carry them to a victory over the Mancunian Mexican...

Hatton has good really good footwork, seriously. You seem to take issue with that statement. If you disagree, I would like you to tell me what you see wrong with how he uses his feet in a fight.....:-\
The stuff I'm hearing from the Pac side has been getting corny of late. You will most likely tell me that Hatton moves like a slightly bigger and quicker version of David Diaz? :vd::vd:

All Hatton does is march forward, try and trap his opponents against the ropes, or lunge in with the left hook and clinch if they're in the middle of the ring. His chin is always high and open too, very vunerable for Pac's assault.

I don't really see it. Bradley seems a decent fighter and works hard, but I'm not seeing exceptional handspeed there.
Anyway, get back to the original thread. Where's todays report about Manny Pac eating a tree and decapitating King Kong in sparring?? ;D

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
Latest update:
"Throwing punches, not baseballs, is preoccupying Pacquiao. A little less than five months removed from his big victory over Oscar De La Hoya, Pacquiao is scheduled to fight Ricky Hatton for the IBO and Ring Magazine World Junior Welterweight titles in Las Vegas on May 2.
"He's definitely 100 percent ready to fight right now. We're just maintaining," said Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach.
Roach also noted Pacquiao has had seven "clones" of Hatton as sparring partners and has knocked out four of them. This thrilled the unabashedly pro-Pacquiao gathering at the news conference."

Hatton has knocked over 100 nodding head Pacs !! As for me taking a punch from him, I weigh 85Kilos so he can catch me on his way up to HW, and there's no punching under the belt so I'll tie it rounds my forehead;)

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
JuanMa Lopez picks PAC's style to dominate that of Hatton... ;)
The week after your fight, Manny Pacquiao is going to be facing Ricky Hatton. What’s your take on that fight, and who do you see winning it?
If we go based on styles, Pacquiao style should dominate Hatton’s.
