Watched an old film Stardust 2007 with Peter O'Toole, Sienna Miller and Robert De Niro in it. Really enjoyed it.
It also has future Superman and TV Daredevil in it fighting with one another.

I started Soylent Green last night, I had forgotten that Edward G. Robinson was in it, God he looks like an ancient dwarf next to Heston.
Also the year is 2022 and New York City has a population of 40,000,000 (right now it's about 8.5 or so million)....I guess they changed the tax code or something :dontknow: also Heston has a tube TV the fuckin hipster!

Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Well you guys are going to LOOOOVE this......so I watched the entire 'The Rachel Divide' Netflix movie about Rachel Dolezal this does contain "spoilers" but it's like a documentary so I guess click the reveal but I'd recommend :wackomz4: before doing so........seriously
Spoilers in 'The Rachel Divide' be warned crazy shit ahead
I have to say that Franklin Moore, Rachel Dolezal's 1st born son (which I have to say in order to be 100% clear because God damn she's got a fucked up family) is a very sympathetic figure. I truly do feel sorry for that kid, he didn't want any part of that circus but ol' Rachel was just going to do her and everyone else be damned.
Rachel DID come from a very strict house, her biological parents were some kind of hardcore fire & brimstone kind of Bible beaters and there were allegations from Rachel  and her sister that they were raped by Rachel's biological brother Joshua.
So Rachel's biological parents adopted a lot of kids (saving them from abortion being the idea) and all of those kids were black. The Dolezal family lives in like Idaho or whatever and they raised these black kids as one of the kids described "like white kids with a skin disorder" if that makes any sense because to me I mean I understand a LITTLE of what they might mean but not 100%. Like I'm pretty certain it's difficult to get ethnic hair products in bumfuck Idaho, I'm fairly certain these kids were not inundated with all sorts of information about their African-American culture and what not. So yeah, I'm sure that was a mindfuck for the kids. Not being treated any differently than any other white member of the family apparently has it's bad parts, who knew?
Anywho so Rachel takes it upon herself to dig deep into African-American this and that, learn up on everything and teach it to the African-American members of the family. This is where Rachel takes leave of her senses. To her learning about this culture and everything is a great escape and so she stays with it. She eventually moves away, she eventually adopts her brother Iziaiha as her son (strange) and helps her sister Esther move away from the Dolezal household. Rachel married an African-American gentleman and had a son Franklin and they ended up splitting and in the documentary she's pregnant by a USAF member who wanted nothing more to do with Rachel once he found out she was pregnant (so says Rachel) and yeah.
Rachel apparently faked a few hate crimes. "Oh my gosh I received this hate mail in my NAACP mailbox and sure it didn't actually get scanned by the USPS but oh my gosh....hate mail yall!" And this is what caused local news to out her as biologically white which Rachel attacks and says "race is a social construct" to which I'm thinking "If race is a social construct then why do you say you're black?" it makes no sense.
So yeah all of it really boils down to Rachel Dolezal DECIDED TO LIE ABOUT HER RACE....had she just told the truth from the get go she would have been fine and more importantly her young son and youngest child would have been fine but people don't like being lied to and they don't like crazy. It is quite obvious that Rachel Dolezal suffered psychologically from her upbringing, but again Trans-racial is a psychological issue, it's probably healthier to treat it than indulge it. Treating it would mean that Rachel would then have a better grasp on reality.
I'll tell you this much....I am no fan of Rachel Dolezal, but 100% respect for her artwork which is actually extremely good. I was amazed at what a talent she is as an artist so props to her for that.

I was a bit disappointed to be honest. On the strength of it being so raved about I felt safe going to watch it at 11.30pm (to fit in with when my son finished work) I made that extra effort and I think in part that amplified my lack of enthusiasm.
It had it's moments, some genuinely laugh out loud moments but the thing everyone was waiting for, shouldn't have happened the way it did, it was also avoidable, rookie mistakes.
Oh and another thing. I know it's all about Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson these days and the guy is mega successful. But for me, the best wrestler turned actor is Dave Bautista for Drax alone. Hilarious.
Hulk doesn't die.
I enjoyed it, lots of action. That line by Bautista " I'll give a third... why" was hilarious.
I usually download everything, so don't tend to go to the movies, but the missus won us some free premier tickets so didn't really have a choice, and boy did I regret having to watch it in a theater. We had young kids (16-18) actually crying at the end, swearing and yelling "Who do Marvel think they are?" "They can't do that" "I'm going back to DC"
Perfect examples of why parents SHOULD beat their kids.

I won't spoil it for ya, but definitely worth a watch.
Oh and I must say I was disappointed they didn't have a Sherlock Holmes moment somewhere in the film (with 2 actors that play the role starring) ;D

That scene with baby Groot trying to get Youndu's fin was the funniest scene in the film.

Drax was pretty good and improved from the first movie. Had no idea a Batista who wasn't even a great wrestler could deliver that acting ;D.
Unfortunately azz clowns elsewhere spoiled the ending of Infinity Wars but they've already announced Guardians 3.

Any old school Karate Kid fans here?
Cobra Kai is actually pretty good. I must admit I was surprised at how good it was for a YouTube Red show.

Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
This sort of thing could really catch on, there are so many movies I would love to see a series for, following up 15 - 20 years later and what has transpired since the film.
