Terrible result for England. Our defence was absolutely shocking. Lampard clearly scored a goal and that might well have changed the momentum, but it wasn't given and what happened did indeed happen. I wasn't all that sad after the game because of what had gone on in the 3 games prior. This was a team that had shown little in the way of heart or desire and so when they eventually went out, how bad could you feel? I felt let down and pissed off more than anything else. If the team had put up a valiant performance and gone down with the game going right to the edge then I would have been sad, but as things stood, I was over it within minutes. Those players are ridiculously overpaid and so is the manager. Rooney looked and played like a 40 year old. Quite awful.

I really enjoyed watching portugal go out

ronaldo was non existant in that game;D

I don't think i can remember Ronaldo having the ball once in the game, Spain were superb at possession.

Yes they are now firing after the Switzerland shambles. Torres looks unfit.

Torres is unfit, he's coming off his second knee surgery this year and he's just not himself right now. He did make a couple decent plays and had one solid strike at goal.

I loved seeing Ronaldo and Roonaldo have shitty World Cups. Rooney was just horrible.

Today has been a real return to normality at work. With no football on at all, the female contingent took over and shoehorned some soaps onto the telly all night. Roll on Friday, can't wait for the quarters.

David Blane is extremely upset that his record has been broken of doing nothing in a box by Wayne Rooney.

Brazil-Netherland Germany-Argentina, that's getting really damn serious, I would marvel for a final Germany-Netherland.
