Just like this PAC-Hatton fight, if PAC wins it will cement further his no. 1 P4P status and if Hatton wins, contrary to what Hatton repeatedly claim, Hatton won't be installed as the new P4P king...:p
.
then same thing goes for this fight, it can decide the p4p #1 fighter, cause if Hatton kicks Pacquiao's ass, Manny sure wont be #1 anymore, that claim will go to Marquez, and back to Floyd if he does make a comeback
You could be right... What's laughable is Hatton's (and Hattonites') claim that he will be the new P4P king if he beats PAC...;D

This is getting worst for Hatton...;D
Teddy Atlas picked Hatton to beat PAC
SPEEDBAG Atlas picked Hatton to beat Pacman on May 2. “It will not be a blowout like the De La Hoya fight,” he said. “It was almost a dead man walking.” Atlas said Manny is now an icon, and he may have reached his pinnacle, while Hatton has his pride to nurture after losing to Money Mayweather. Dan Rafael held off making a pick until he gets to Vegas. Woods ain’t shy. Manny’s hand speed, footwork, southpaw stance and accuracy bring him to a UD on May 2.

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
More bad news for Team Hatton:
Pacquiao’s main sparring partner Urbano Antillon is a good technical fighter who punished the “Pacman" to the body frequently during sparring days, a technique Hatton has been known for following his “single shot to the body" wins over Luis Collazo and Jose Luis Castillo.
Ariza doesn’t see Pacquiao suffering the same fate against the “Hitman" from Manchester, England.
“Urbano is such a technician to the body," said Ariza. “If you can handle Urbano for five rounds going to your body, then not even flinch, then Hatton can’t bring anything Manny hasn’t seen in this camp."
“Watching him these last few weeks with his sparring partners, he’s literally hurting them every time he gets them."
;D

Single shot to the body win against collazo?? Wrong, i'm gonna guess that this is just information leaked from a hole that it shouldn't have....

Actually they're overhyping some of Hatton's credential to try to close the odds... PAC now at -280 and Hatton at +200... The odds keep widening as the fight gets closer day by day... ;D

If you read the original article, this guy is a "conditioning" expert.
Hatton should be ready for Pacquiao, says coach Ariza
He should have many many better things to do than count out hattons body punching. Ha. There is no way that all the sparring, regardless of Antillon (who won't pose any where *near the same threat as hatton), will prepare him for hatton.

Yep, I think so too. The footspeed will bother them a lot, and the handspeed isn't that much off. Pac throws combinations fast and in bunches, but I don't think he gets off THAT much quicker than Hatton. If Hatton has it in him to keep up a good pace then Pac has his hands full.

I feel the same way. I'm nervous as hell about this. Hatton has all the tools to really do a number on Manny, no doubts about that. But I hear all these doubters and see all these polls elsewhere. I'm just not seeing it like they are though, and really think Manny is being elevated whilst Ricky is being underrated.
The only true poll is the Saddo's final poll IMO, and that has it way in favour of Hatton.

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
I think Pac fans have been lulled into a false sense of security. He came up several divisions in weight... beat a shot DLH (who admittedly noone knew was THAT shot)... and now has his fans thinking big. Let's say he beats Hatton (unlikely, IMO). His fans will be lulled into an even higher false sense of security.
Come to think of it, in a way it reminds me of when Tito was moving from 147 to 154 to 160. His first fight at 160, he devastatingly KTFO'ed William Joppy, a highly recognized MW champion. Tito fans (myself included) started thinking PAST Hopkins (big mistake) and toward Roy Jones as an eventual huge fight for Tito. Well... we all came crashing down when it became apparent that Tito was out of his league against the best 160-pounders.
If Pac beats Hatton, he'll go looking for other big guys, and will eventually make the mistake of fighting a Cotto, a Mosley, or worse.

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
According to former undisputed cruiserweight champion and heavyweight title challenger David Haye, Manchester's Ricky Hatton will need to put out the best performance of his life to defeat Manny Pacquiao on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Haye does not agree with Hatton's mindset of Pacquiao "being too small" to make a dent at junior welterweight. Hatton believes that Pacquiao's win over De La Hoya was a fluke because Oscar was weight drained. He says Manny will meet the biggest fighter of his career next Saturday night.
"If Ricky can beat the best pound-forpound fighter in the world, that will be a mammoth achievement. A lot of people think Pacquiao is small, but this guy is the real deal," Haye told UK's The People.
The biggest and best performance of Hatton career came in 2005, when he stopped Kostya Tszyu after eleven rounds of action. Haye says the Tszyu performance is not good enough to beat Pacquiao. Hatton needs to be better.
"Hatton needs to fight better than he did against Tszyu to get the win. I'm told Ricky was in fantastic shape when he got to training camp and I don't think he's peaked too early. If Hatton is ever going to beat Pacquiao it is now," Haye said.

You're not seiing it right. DLH just lost a SD against PBF then suddenly call him shot coz Pac dominated him in every second of the rd. Pac & PBF beat the same out of prime DLH. But Pac impresses more by the way he beat DLH.
Don't compare Tito to Pac. Pac Dominates a lot weight classes. Tito just at Welterweight & he can't even dominate it completely coz everybody knows he lost to DLH. Maybe you're just overrating hatton coz he Just beat an Old Fighter in Tzu & Shot Castillo.
Pac has 29 years old MAB, EM & JMM aside from DLH in his Victim's lists. They maybe small but these are all HOF fighters. The DLH fight confirms Pac can handle Bigger size. So I don't know how could you guys can find excuses for Hatton. Pac will dominate & Stop Hatton!!! I've been saying this for years.

It wasn't the same DLH at all though, be realistic. DLH has been getting progressively more inactive as a fighter and I think it even showed to a degree against Mayweather. A fight that was at 154, less we forget. DLH looked pretty shitty against Forbes going down in weight, and against Pac we saw an Oscar further on the slide and at a weight he had no business being at at 35. He made it far easier for Pac than PBF because of age, inactivity and bizarre weight issues. It was NOT the same Oscar.
Pac has done great at the lower weights, coming on in leaps and bounds in recent years. But Oscar and Diaz are no indication of what Pac can do against another top 10 PFP fighter in the higher weight categories. Not by a long shot.
This fight is going to surprise you. Hatton is much better than you think he is. ;)

He hasn't been managed by Warren in years though. Warren gave Hatton too much filler and that's one of the reasons Hatton left him. You cannot question Hattons heart, he left the UK and has taken the biggest fights out there culminating with Mayweather. And here he is trying again.
Now, Amir Khan is what I would call a Warren hype job. ;)
