aint it saddo?
As the self-proclaimed Saddo statto, this is currently the third highest RBR on the site, sitting behind Taylor Wright in second place, and Hatton v Collazo, with the most amount of posts. This can be clearly seen on the deviously hidden stats part of the board. It is also the 7th thread with the most replies. Good work guys, I'm proud of you all. So which fights over the coming winter are likely, or even possibly, going to nudge this one off the RBR podium?

winky wright might get a few tito fans looking for blood if he falters...cottos fight could get some good debates if he sucks... hattons fight if he dosnt dominate ;D
but if there is any contoversy for the wlad fight it may just be pushed to the top spot with a post fest between lyle and sal ;D

didn't Baldomir try and use that strategy? what happened to him? and Ricky doesn't have a strong enuff jaw for Floyd.he'll be outboxed.
i personally thought the Mayweather-Baldomir fight was going to be a lot closer.
plz stop hating on PBF!!!!!!!!!
Nobody is hating of Floyd, everybody is just not satisfied with him continueing with his current crop of opponents and with the way he fought against Baldomir. He does get some credit for fighting Baldomir because he was at least the legit champion at 147. Nobody is argueing about his skills, he easily has the best skills p4p in boxing.

regardless of what i or anyone says that is a pretty amazing achivment considering his natrual size.
Agreed. It is a fantastic acheivment & one that no one else is making any waves in beating. Look at all of our other so called champions (OUR) & tell me that they are doing anything remotely close to what Floyd is.
They aren't...but Floyd is still hated...hell...I can see why he's hateable.
But skill is skill & he is the man.

My thing here is...Hatton just bailed before he could even show the heart to look for improvement.
I respect Floyd more for continueing to rise.

Floyds diversity lends itself better for moving up, Hatton's does not.. at 5'6 on his tip toes and being a str8 forward fighter Hatton is just too small physically to fight his style of fighting at a heavier weight.

Hatton's too small?
Nope...just unsuccessful...that's all it boils down to.
Floyd is 5' 8" & Hatton is 5' 6"...Hatton's bullish style, frame, & "all that heart" was supposed to carry him through...it didn't.
Floyd's speed & lack of strength allowed him to beat Baldomir...Hatton's bullish style & "all that heart" allowed him to eek out a win against Collazo...to whom I still say won the fight.
My point is that Hatton is much more suited body wise for 147...Floyd is not.
Mayweather deserves respect. He's an a**...but then again...so is James "Fat a**" Toney...hence the reason that this diatribe from everyone is just bullshit.
They can support Toney whom says basically the same S*** but can't back it up & they drop the boom on Floyd who brags & boasts & backs it up.
It's bullshit.
Re: Just Another One of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds: Mayweather vs Baldomir
Hatton is a type of fighter like Duran and Barrera, who rely mostly on their heart and relentlessness, and pretty good power to wear their opponents into submission. But against the pretty boy, he'd just be a good target unless he change his style, like Barrera did against Hamed and Juarez. If he can take the punches of Floyd, I'd say he has a chance, though I have some doubts.

I just think a lot people feel cheated when they watch Mayweather who said " It going to be a war Toe to Toe action. " and in all fairness, it looked like Mayweather was looking to make good on his promise, but either got hit and didn’t like that Baldo power, or his hands gave out, , anyway Mayweather changed gears abruptly for whatever reason. Mayweather is a great technicians in the ring no doubt, but he is overly cautious , always fights in a fast 26 foot ring. it’s a frustrating watch . they need to get him in a ring about 18 foot and we could see some great things happen in there. ! plenty of room to stick and move, but exchanges will be forced to happen. We all know that Mayweather and Jones can get on their heels for 12 rounds and beat anyone. So the thrill factor is somewhat diluted. also Mayweather is easy to hate with that flamboyant ego and that philthy rich crap he shoves in everyone’s face. nobody likes a bragger.. Floyd is a pauper compared to Oscar Dela Hoya yet you never hear Oscar talking about how rich he is
So there are many factors here that bring out that hate in the fight fan ! Enjoyed chatting with you my friend ! always enjoy your reads ! O0

Good insight. I like the part of feeling cheated, but mine is when the fight is announced. I think he is a great technician in the ring, but I want to see how those skills show against A+ opponents. Not B+. Of the 1 or 2 people I would like to see PBF challenge in certain weightclasses... he always pick a 3rd or 4th choice opponent. Very cautious outside of the ring as well. Personally I am tired of hearing the Hatton lovers say PBF would get his ass kicked and vice versa. I just want to see it. Same with ODLH, Mosely, Margarito, and Cotto.
