We've had this discussion before and you refuse to acknowledge that it aint as simple as the record. The man was fighting until he was 50! With someone who had such a clear case of the "cant let go's" how can you include their whole record? You say that youve seen a substantial amount of Duran fights, but it sounds like you havent. Anyone who has seen Duran in his prime wouldnt discredit him.Quote:

Floyd could be one of the greatest all time, but he has to start facing and beating the best fast, but even then, not sure he'd come close to Robinson.
I don't place Tyson as on of the all-time greats buy of the boxers listed the question asks who was the best at their peaks, not the greatest of all time. I am saying we really never saw Leonard's or Ali's peak of perfection because when they arrived at it then they were gone for several years. As for Floyd and Jones, re-read my statement.Quote:

for me Tyson is the best choice in the list since SRR is not there and Marvin Hagler they are my favorites..
I voted for Tyson.Quote:

I cannot believe PBF got more votes then SRL, wtf is going on.
why the hell is pbf even up there?? dont get me wrong, pbf is a brilliant fighter, but hasen't done nearly enough to be up there with legends and to be considered the best of all time.
I wanna see footage of Pep and Burley so bad... No clue where to get itQuote:

Ray Robinson was the greatest, hands down.
Great post from everyone. All these fighters with the exception of Floyd have lived out their careers and now their legacy's will start to grow if they haven't already. Floyd still has another 3-4 years of prime boxing left in him, he is a great fighter but it is too soon for him to be on the list with all these other fighters. Roy Jones dominated the square circle for the longest amount of time for the fighters on this list. He was p4p number one for the majority of the 90's and the beggining of this decade. Sugar Ray Leonard fought in the most competitive era ever for boxing. And he beat all the greats (Duran, Hearns, Hagler). I am sure it's controversy on the Hagler fight but he kept Marvin at bay and niether fighter was impressive in that fight, it was close. Ali was the strongest character on this list, he also fought in a period when his division was the best in it's history. Out of his epic victories (Liston, Forman, Frazier, etc) most of them came when he was beyond his prime so can you imagine if he never would have left boxing at his peak. This is a very hard decision to make but out of all of them Mike Tyson was the most physically talented but he was also the most mentally impaired. If he would have had half the brain of any of these fighters on the list he never would have lost, he would have ruled that division for 10-15 years off of physical talent. My vote goes to Tyson. All of these fighters are alive today, and if you ask any of them who was the greatest fighter of all time they will say Sugar Ray Robinson.
Your right on that one....People picked Tyson over Ali!!!!!!!Quote:
