I guess my "source" was dead wrong. Sorry guys, didnt mean to mislead you, but Calzaghe was nowhere to be found. ;D Hate those damn forum pests dont you? ;D

Mundine did dominate Green tonight, and show sooooooooooo much improvement its scary. Remember, he took up boxing in 2000 and had NO amatuer career, every fight he has he improves tremendously. With his dad Tony Mundine Snr and Roy Jones Sr in his corner, the future is looking bright for Anthony :)

Kessler had a shot at Calzaghe & the camps were talking but he did indeed price himself out of the equation...as did Beyer.

No I didn't believe what Warren says...I never do...I just listened to what Kessler's people said & paid attention to the fact that his promoters have been trying to secure a fight with someone else.

So I believe that we can stick to the fact that jangeorg ARE stupid & Kessler ARE NOT king of the Super Middleweight division...yet.

Also...don't try to talk about Calzaghe facing hand picked opponents when Kessler's opposition is as bad if not worse.

I want to see the beatdown Mundine put on Green.

Thats what Danny gets for poppin off at the mouth to his crowd saying "who wants to see Anthony Mundine get knocked out?" well he got his royal arse handed to him didn't he ;D

Wacko, maybe Kessler DID prize himself out. I'm just wondering what kinda source you have to say with such certainty that Kessler prized himself out.
I've read the article from a few days ago, where a columnist spoke about this. But as i recall he was giving no sources or anything. He also refered to Kessler having done the same thing with Lacy last fall - and there's definitely another side of that story that's much less flattering to the Lacy camp.

Now i'm aware i may be one-eyed in my support of Kessler. But i'm really wondering if this "new story" (of Kessler outpricing himself) is anything but a convenient claim by Warren - or even just the speculations of the columnist.

Thing is Calzaghe has shown no intention of wanting to fight Kessler at this time at all (whereas Kessler has been outspoken about wanting to fight Calzaghe). In fact the few times Calzaghe has mentioned Kessler. He's rather directly said that at this time they aren't even considering fighting Kessler.

So i'm just curious if you've got some insider information that makes you so sure that Kessler's demands are too much.
So if you have some information that i should know to make up an informed opinion about this matter - please share.

spreeul8er, makes some good points about mundine having no amatuer career and being fairly new to the boxing game being a former football star,he will continue to improve and he is the real deal.



not too many people around the world have been a great success in 2 different sports in there lifetime,mundines pretty special.

Miranda would not pull out of the Abraham fight to go up in weight and fight Calzaghe unless the money was sick. We already know that $1.5 million is too much to pay for other worthy opponents, so they aren't gonna pay anything close to that for Miranda. A win over Abraham puts Miranda in a better place than a win over Calzaghe, plus Abraham to me is a MUCH easier win.

Hell yeah ;D Green looked superfit but everytime he looked for the right hand mundine made him miss. Mundines game plan looked to be make danny pissed off and then counter on his mistakes. It was a great fight that left me staying up to 1 am in the morning coz i was so hypo after it ;D I picked anthony when this fight was first mentioned years ago and ive had arguments with people i know about it and today....I GOT BRAGGING RIGHTS ;D

Starr, don't be down on Green for wanting asking if people wanted to see Mundine knocked out. 75% of the Australian public wanted to see Mundine knocked out by another Australian. It gets complicated when Mundine fights a foreigner because you don't want to be unpatriotic and barrack for the other guy.

Very few people divide Australia like Mundine. He's got a big following among Aboriginal people, Muslims (Turks, Lebanese etc in Sydney) and some of the Rugby League community. Everyone who's not a big fan can't stand him. IMO he's an idiot. The only things he has going for him are his talent and his committment to aboriginal issues. Every other time he opens his mouth he puts his foot in it with his retard rapping/Ali impersonations

Fair play to him though for a great performance. Like I said, he's a great talent. Probably not able to deal with Calzaghe or Kessler but more competitive than almost anyone else. He'd easily take Beyer would be competitive with Lacy and would humiliate most of the other American super middles I've seen.

Glen looked good in his last fight though, I think Woods will still have a very tough night, but yeah I think he could win, he looked awesome on saturday aswell. Glen somehow finds a way to win though, we'll have to see.

This aint really a new story.

From what I have read & what direction that I was lead in from someone that is a very reliable source...he did price himself outta the Calzaghe spot...or...if you don't want to be harsh about it...let's say that Team Palle didn't except Calzaghe's offer.

It's not just some claim by Warren...his own camp refused the offer...at that time.

Calzaghe's camp did make an offer prior to the Lacy bout which was turned down. After the Lacy bout Beyer was then made a hefty offer which he too turned down. Kessler's people made a lot of smoke regarding the previous offer that was balked on.

As of the plans for Kessler right now...nope...I don't think that it'll happen...& that's a good thing for Kess.

The only information I have is what I have gained through my efforts to secure some air time with Kessler & what I have read from both sides of the Kessler & Calzaghe camps.
