Re: UFC: Royce Gracie vs. Matt Hughes
I think he also lost to a guy named Hidehiko Yoshida.

As I knew Matt was going to win, I was cheering for him as well. I was amazed at his dominance on the ground against a great Jiu Jitsu artist such as Royce. Once he got his back I knew it was over.
When they introduced Royce, they said his record was 11-0. I was a bit mad that they didn't include his loss to Sakuraba in Pride.
Wasn't a loss, it was a slaughter ;D

sure it has evolved but gracie came in out of shape for the first time....he got destroyed....I was pulling for gracie....I think "Big" John McCarthy let it go 30 seconds too long almost look like he was hoping Gracie was going to pull something out....But Hughes STOMPED Gracie....
Re: UFC: Royce Gracie vs. Matt Hughes
In shape or not he's going to lose to all of the elite fighters, I doubt you'll ever see any of the Gracie's wearing a Pride or UFC championship belt in the near future
