Owen Beck? I remember seing him lose against Monte Barrett
After the first de la Hoya fight, Mosley was poised to take the mantle that likes of Robinson, Ali, Leonard, Tyson, Chavez and Jones had held, that of, without doubt the icon's of their era. But he failed, much like Tyson, he was amazing to a point, but both lost to fighters they were meant to be beat and neither could ever regain the mantle they held, whilst they had their '0's'. Both went bust, on their perceived destiny.Quote:

Lacy comes in mind too. Hyped record and blasted out the first time he met a real opponent.Quote:

Zab Judah easily. The one they use to call Pernell Whitaker with power. He was so hyped it was unbelievable. His first title was given to him on a silver platter after they stoled it from Terronn Millett. He made no note worthy defenses of it. He got creamed in the unification fight against Tszyu. He beat Spinks in the rematch, but he should of never lost to him in the first place. Than comes the Baldomir lost. Judah has never done anything to justify his hype.
I know it's a bit early to pass judgement...
Samuel "the Nigerian Nightmare" Peter.
He just seems content with beating on bums now. What the fwock?!?!?
WAY to early to pass judgement. If he was 30 or above and doing this then I would see your point but he's 25 and is a legitimate contender before a good number of fighters even turn pro. I don't mind these couple fights to boost his confidence. I think he is lined up for a big fight by the end of the summer.Quote:

Michael Grant all the way. I feel sorry for the guy actually, Teddy couldn't even straighten him out after that Lewis loss.
I know this is not a true bust, but everyone thought he was the next Joe Louis who reigned for almost 12 years as the undisputed HW champ and that would be Tyson. Before you start jumping on this, notice I said it wasn't a true bust. But for his various titles and such Tyson had a title here and there for like four years total. And only splintered titles (WBA and WBC) for like six months since 1990. He made a shitload of money, but it seems like he should have been champ a lot longer and left the sport with a better image rather than his life so unglued. It would have been great if he had been able to retire undefeated after reigning for 6 or 7 years. Just my thoughts.
Shane is a hall of famer!!!Out of his last 9 fights only 1 was a street sweeper everyone else has been top flight competition..The fact is Shane fights the best period..Thats why he is greatQuote:
