Eubank has to be the toughest he was made from some pretty stern stuff .
I met him in Brighton funny thing was we were talking about him 30 seconds beforehand when i look up and he's walking towards me and i stopped offered my hand and said hello Mr Eubank with a big smile on my face he was a complete and utter gentleman .
I always got the immpression Chris was at odds with boxing his bluntness self belief made him an easy target for bullys in the media but on a presonal level as a man i love the guy.
He earnt it the hard way gave some superhuman efforts in the ring and had the bravery of nobody ive ever seen
He's constantly in the local paper for various eccentric behaviour including jumping into a parked lorry and moving it when it was obstructing traffic .
He and Benn were/are completley different personalities Benn didnt have Chris Eubanks durability but he had the fighting heart of a Chris Eubank when the chips were down .
Benn is not everybodys cup of tea but he and Eubank worked to a certain level and i think they expected people and the world around them to be on a par with them .
Benn's an honest guy.
Great quote from Eubank when a driver turned up to escort him to a function driving a Vauxall Caviler Eubank told him ' To go away and come back with something more befitting a world champion'.
Good on him , he earned the right to ask for a little more .
Tommy Morrison
johhny tapia and manuel medina
Matthew Saad Muhammad, a true warrior, if you ever see his 2 fights with Marvin Johnson, you will never forget them. also Bobby Chacon was tuff as nails, as was Rocky Marciano, the epitome of toughness.
boom boom mancini
Chuck Wepner, the 'Bayonne Bleeder' was a tough guy (Greg Haugen reminded me a bit of him in the 80's)
Training by getting beat up doesn't make you tough..it makes you stupid....proving to people that you can take a punch doesn't make you better...we have a guy in our gym that can take a sever beating...can't fight for shat....but he can take a beating...I'm not saying Eubank wasn't a good fighter but the toughest?...Gotta stick with Marciano....
Is it this guy?Quote:
