i run 4 to 5 times a week early in the morning. i wake up at 6 am, and go running at about 6:15, run til about 7:30. but i've never been able to fall asleep after morning runs. it just boosts my metabolism, and especially the cold shower after running. no chance of keeping my eyes closed.
I remember George Francis, bless him. He use to get his fighters running round Parliment hill feilds at Highgate in the mornings. After the run He would make them to a man, jump in the Lake. Didnt matter if it was the middle of winter, and they had to break the ice. George didnt train bottle jobs, there was method in the madness No George was a clever old fox
When I Get Back From Running I Usually Get Ready For the Day Or Go Do Some Bag Work
I am really regular, so the first thing I do when I wake up is have a shit.
Then I get out of bed to go running.
:D 24 hour karma... :PQuote:

*Vivian eats the TV*
*TV man enters and sees Vivian with an extension flex hanging out of his gob (from the TV)*
TV man ('bastard'): that better now have been a TV you just ate!
Vivian: Its a toaster
Bastard: Well it better be... because when that TV comes out the other end, I'll be ready
*TV man goes and waits by the toilet*
Vivian: Don't worry lads, I always poo before I get up
So is everyone here in agreement that running before breakfast is good for fat loss?
Fat loss: yes
Aerobic conditioning: Yes
Anaerobic conditioning: No
Fair enough you have some Glycogen left in your system... but you won't have eaten for at least 8 hours... so a lot of it will have depleted... if it weren't true... eating carbs a few hours before training wouldn't be any better than eating carbs 8 hours before training ;)
Its not impossible to train Anaerobicly early in the morning, the quality won't be as good though.
so the best time to train for a fatburn is to not have alot of energy in your system at all? how many calouries do you think you burn from an average gym session say 1 hour-1 hour 30 mins? how much energy you rekon shud be taken on board before a workout?Quote:

Personally I've come across athletes who get rebound hypoglycemia (blood sugar drops after eating carbs), so they don't tend to over fuel beforehand.
Replenishing carbohydrates after high intensity work is more important imho, and being in bed all night doesn't count as work unless you're going for gold at the bedroom olympics. :)
Not to beat a dead horse but, Bernard Hopkins runs like a fanatic every morning to keep his weight down, I heard Manny Steward talking about how he is a natural light heavy weight. I wonder if when he was training for Tarver how often he ran in the morning before a meal if at all. Mackie said stop that $hit Bernard we gotta bulk you up! ;D
I use to do running but its to tense for me first thing in the morning and not safe to run where i live in the evening so I do skipping instead which has increased my fitness dramatically.
You should run faster then ^-^Quote:
