Re: - yet another foreigner robbed in the US, Sultan Ibragimov
i think it was on boxing after dark... not sure but fair point theres certainly not alot of genuine contenders in the heavywieght division i mean it wasnt billed as a big fight and it was a title eliminator.
also does anyone know anything about the rumours david haye is moving to the heavy wieght division because fairly soon i think he could dominate given the right fights and opportunity's
Re: - yet another foreigner robbed in the US, Sultan Ibragimov
Yes there are MANY contenders given the lack of big time fights being made due to DK's fighters being protected...and yeah it's JUST Don King's fighters being protected hell look at their next match ups and you'll see the guys with tougher more dangerous fights aren't Don King fighters.
Wlad is the only heavyweight legitmatly trying to prove himself
Rahman seems to want the big fights too Maskaev is older but still considering what he did to him last time it's a good fight
Valuev and Lyahkovich are fighting BUMS and that won't change
Haye might be able to survive vs the smaller guys but I don't see anything special in him at cruiser much less heavyweight...I mean if stamina is an issue at less than 200 then it'll grow as he does
Re: - yet another foreigner robbed in the US, Sultan Ibragimov
fair point about haye.
i reckon the toney-peters fight may well be good. n yer there are too many fighters bieng protected, i mean i have to see this beast from the east face off againt one the legitamately powerful heavyweight contenders see how good he really is cos i mean who couldnt beat ruiz? i mean for a while i figured i mite call out jonny boy lol, another thing that anoys me bout ruiz is his name , the quiet man, ive never seen a man like him who opens his gob and shite drops out,hes pretty much pathetic

Ruiz was boring as fuk and loved to hold but check his resume you'll see he beat some pretty good fighters. Has bigger wins than even the mighty Klitschko. Rahman, Holyfield. Oquendo, Golota etc.

Maybe guest boxers to the US should do like Jeff Lacy did when he fought in Europe – he brought his own ref!.....

A fair ESPN Friday night fight to watch; both would be KOed by Wladimir Klitschko or Nikolai Valuev. As a matter of fact, Samuel Peter could take both out. :-\
The fight was horrible & to classify Ray Austin as "a real "big" (6' 6", 250 Lbs.) awkward dude" is way off mark.
He's big...but he aint awkward.
Ibrag is not going to meet his hype & that was no robbery.
lets not forget the fact that Sultan himself suffered a 10-8 round in that fight as well.....the fight was called correctly....

this was by far not a robbery......not even close...just be glad they didn't count the second knockdown of sultan......he should be happy with the draw....
