Re: IBF Sanctions PBF-Spinks
I don't see Baldo losing every round to Floyd and I think it would make for a more exciting and intriguing fight as Floyd won't be able to hurt/stop Baldo from coming forward and Carlos may be able to land. I just want to see Floyd fight a big strong WW,a NATURAL WW!!I want to se if he can take the punch,he has been fighting guys he can go toe to toe with for a long time,I want to see if he can handle a pressure fighter at the higher weights!! With Spinks poor stamina,I expect Floyd to win that fight for sure!
Re: IBF Sanctions PBF-Spinks
The point is you choose against Floyd nearly all the time:Sharmba,Zab,Spinks, and who knows who else!!

riiiight and who's the one who keeps telling you Floyd would kick Margarito's ass ;)
And actually they are the only fights I picked against Floyd in, were Mitchell and Judah, and now Spinks. So 3 fights out of his career I pick against him. not that bad.
And by the way, ho wlong I been telling you Floyd would beat the snot out of Margarito? And didn't I just say he would beat Baldomir easily and not get any credit ;)
I was also the one defending Floyd when people tried to make him seem like an ass hole leading up the the Gatti fight.
or did you forget? ;)

My bad,you are indeed correct although that has been Floyd's last few fights that have chosen against him and Margarito has a better chance of beating him than all 3. And true, you did say he would beat Baldo. My bad!

Because he's more consistant with his style. He has a good jab and counter jabs. Judah when he tried to counter Floyd tried it with right hooks, but I think he would have been more effective if he had decided to counter with his jab. Spinks knows how to use his height and has a good ring generalship, he also doesn't seem to mentally cave in when the pressure is on him, even after Judah had him badly hurt he never gave up. I think he has an advantage at 154 against Mayweather and I think the weight is going to be a small factor. But Spinks has a quicker jab seriously quicker jab. By no means am I saying Spinks is the greater fighter, but he has a style and a CONSISTANT style that can give Mayweather issues. he's a good fighter and I think people wrote him off because Judah beat him but Zab was awesome on that night. I think Cory could beat Mayweather because of his style consistancy and ring intelligence. People may hate on him because he may cry if he has a big win but consider that he still won the fight against a guy who schooled Kassim Ouma after taking over a year off a knockout loss to move up in weight and take that title is a feat.

There are some valid points there but I can see PBF picking him apart like he did Judah, losing a few of the early rounds and then picking up the pace. The weight could be an issue, but I just don't think the fight should be made. Floyd is handpicking the weakest champ at 154,someone feather fisted and going after him and Spinks should be giving Karmazi a rematch which I'd favour Roman to win and he did not deserve a shot at Roman in the first place¬!

I don't think Spinks would be feather fisted if he at 154 pounds were hitting Mayweather. Weight's a difference, Hatton took Tszyu's best shots but he went to 147 to face Collazo, and you saw how he was effected.
I think Spinks is a legit threat. And at 154, do you really consider Rivera better then Spinks? And DLH isn't fighting anymore this year. Who's the other 154 pound champ?(if we don't even know his name he isn't worth mentioning
IBF- Spinks
WBA - Rivera
WBC - DLH(off the rest of the year)
WBO - (no clue who has this title)
out of those 3(not including DLH) wouldn't you consider Spinks the strongest and mroe difficult fight at 154? I dont think Rivera would pose a threat to Mayweather, do yu?
Re: IBF Sanctions PBF-Spinks
CC to you Starr and The Game (in 24, karma) some good thoughts. Starr I think you are right that Spinks is possible the toughest fight @ 154. Looking at the list of champions nobody really jumps out at you. The WBO has Sergei Dzindziruk listed as their 154 champ (who?). The only thing I would question with Spinks is his stamina, he faded pretty good his last fight, and he cant afford to do that with PBF. Not that FLoyd could hurt him, but Floyd would just school him as he slows down. In this fight I would like to see Spinks use his advantages the entire night. I think one of the main difficulties of fighting Floyd is that he doesnt make many mistakes. But its boxing so you never really know until they get in the ring and start boxing.
Re: IBF Sanctions PBF-Spinks
This is actually a fight that I do not want to see come off.
Three reasons why Wacko does not want to see this fight happen:
#1: My main arguement with Floyd...can he take the weight jumps? I hate to count against my guy...but I don't believe in weight jumping & I believe any man can & will be beaten.
#2: If Corrie wins this fight...then he finally has a legit reason to get down on his hands & knees & pull that bullshat ass cryin spell he always comes out with. Trust me...if Spinks didn't dance all the way to the ring & cry like a little girl who just dropped her popsicle on an ant hill...I might like his ghetto fabulous ass...but I don't & I won't. Couple that with the fact that I hate HATE to hear Cunningham's mouf in the corner...youv'e got the best reason over all to bail on this fight.
#3: Mayweather wins this...he'll consider himself a world beater & call out Wright again. Then he's fwocked. Floyd needs to & must move back down.
Why Wacko do wanna see this fight happen:
#1: They are actually pretty close in size...so there isn't that much of a difference here. What Floyd gives up in height he makes up for in reach. It's not inconciveable that Floyd could have the advantages here. He's faster than Spinks & he throws at more angles & Spinks hasn't proven to be all that at this weight class either.
#2: If Floyd can take the weight...he can take the title. Spinks has proven to be less than durable against lesser opponents. Look at Spinks losses & who they are too...Mayweather wouldv'e or did beat the same type of fighters. I don't think that Floyd's speed is going to fall off to much & if he can take the shots & use his defense approprately...he'll win.
#3: I'd love for Floyd to kick the shat outta Spinks...just to see him cry legit for once...also...this would set up an Oscar fight for sure.
Apparently...no matter what Wacko wants...this shat is happening. http://boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=000352

CC back bro but I disagree. I think RIvera would break Floyd down,Dzinziruk is not bad(only seen 2 fights though),Karmazin would KTFO Floyd(and SPinks in a rematch),Ouma is dangerous as is Ike etc etc so no way is Spinks the toughest/most dangerous fight. All the guys hit tent imes harder than ANYONE Floyd has ever faced and he obviously will be slower at 154.

Agree and disagree. Floyd would have no right to say he is the best at 154 just becuase he beats Spinks but I dislike Spinks alot and would like to see him get his ass whooped! Floyd will achieved his goal of winning multiple titles, now he should stop hand picking fights and foght the best and most dangerous fighters.

I don't think that Spinks is shit at 154...much less would it make Floyd something at 154 if he beat him.

Disagree--especially about Rivera. If Collazo can beat you, you can't beat Floyd. Karmazin would be interesting, but I think he's too slow to land. Ike would have been trouble 7 years ago--he's too slow now. The only guy at 154 I could see beating Floyd is Mosely. Of course, this is all subject to change if it turns out Floyd just can't handle the weight, slows drastically, etc.
