I don't really see anyone else who deserves to be above him. Sure the other Brits (Eubank, Benn and Watson) might have had deeper competition...but 8 years dominating a division....that's unbeleivable.Quote:

Greatest, imo, is based off of accomplishments. RJJ wins because he has all the benifits of modern training techniques and everything on his side. If it was a Best Fighter list, it would be almost all modern fighters.Quote:

Light welter: julio cesar chavez/ pernell whittaker
welter:Sugar ray robinson.. (would have been middle which he is also the greatest but i thought someone else might fancy a chance!)
light middle:Winky wright ( i know some people dont think he a legend, but hes a goddamn good fighter and i like the guy)
middlewieght : bernard hopkins ( big fan of the exectutioner and if its not goner be srr bhop is the only other to clear up the middlewieght division)
super middle : james toney ( i loved the days when toney was the man to beat in the middle and super middleweight divisions, hes always been entertaining)
light heavy : roy jones junior ( there are things to be said about the level of competion but as far as style skill and entertainment goes he is my man!!)
cruiser: the real deal evander ( not a great fan of the cruiserwieght division, its never been greatly popular.... but evander certainly isnt my greatest at heavy where he made his name, and hes probably the only cruiserweight ive been a fan of, except for james toneys brief spell!)
heavywieght : Muhamad Ali ( i dont feel he is the greatest 'boxer' ever.... he is at heavywieght... its just i feel its more of a generation thing....
but as a man he was no doubt the greatest entertaining, could talk till the cows came home and had the greatest catch phrases ever, great style great career never ducked a man, and nobody will ever forget him for what he did for the sport of boxing.)
" Muhammad Ali i rate number four as a boxer, but hes at number one as a man!!"
-Big George Foreman.

Feather - Willie Pep and honorable mention to Salvador Sanchez
Super Feather - Manny Pacquiao (based on his potential to stay there for a while...he COULD eclipse MAB)
Lightweight - Duran
140 - Julio Cesar Chavez
Welter - Ray Robinson
154 - Oscar De la Hoya ( had they had 154 since the begining of boxing, Robinson would be here too)
Middle - Ray Robinson
Super Middle - Harry Greb (they didn't have that division back then but he fought most his fights at that weight)
Light Heavy - Gene Tunney/Ezzard Charles
Cruiser - Evander Holyfield
Heavyweight - Joe Louis
to be quite honest i dont know of any fighters in the less known divisions like bantam super bantam minimum wieght and all those classes, and to lesser an extent the cruiserwight division isnt greatly popular i mean there are some great fighters at cruiserwieght but its only recently ive been bothered with fights and fighters at cruiserweight!
but i was wondering how do you guys rank the lesser known and unshown divisions?
peace
In My opinion Roy Jones Jr would beat a lot of boxers that people have put ahead of him on here...I am pretty sure he would off took Archie Morrow anyway...
CC Big man, awesome thread, when I get time,I'll post my list! Yours looks pretty close to mine though!
ARCHIE MOORE WAS GREAT BOXER I WOULDNT LIKE TO SAY WHO WOULD WIN BUT I DO KNOW ARCHIE MOORE IS TOUGHER THAN ROY JONESQuote:
