Re: Uranga-Castillo and Mayweather in 2007 for Ricky?
Ricky hatton is my fav boxer at the moment but im not sure if he could beat PBF because in the big fight Floyd mayweather can and usaully does put on a masterclass. hopefully in 07 hatton can over come these great fighters and become the best in the weight division he stays at.

Rabah ain't got a hit-and-run style, just a RUN style. ;D His fight with Urango sucked big time, and was boring as hell, but hardly a robbery IMO. Truthfully, neither guy deserved to win a world title off of the crappy performance.
Hardly a robbery??? Dear lord, did you by any chance think Tex Cobb was robbed against Larry Holmes Hulk? ::**
There is a very big differnce from a guy getting his face pounded in and totally outboxed, and HURT, like Cobb was, and a guy just running his ass off all night, throwing very few punches, and pitter patt crap at that, and inflicting absolutely no damage what so ever to his opponent. Not that Urango did a whole lot either, but he landed the better shots, less but more effective, pressed the action, and came to fight. Rabah didn't come to fight or even box, just to run and survive. Rabah is a lot like Cory Spinks, not Larry Holmes.

I wasn't comparing the magnitude of the fight or the fighters... It's just that it seems in your mind if a guy barrels forward and "comes to fight" he can't lose... Urango landing nothing great, no real big punches at all.. I admit Rabah threw pitter pat crap for the most part but he was still landing punches, and the bigger/best punches of the fight still came from him. You would really have to be an idiot to think Urango deserved to win more than a couple rounds if you watch the fight closely.

BS man. Rabah ran all night. I don't always favor the aggressor. But I like mostly aggressive fighters, with the exception of B-hop, Toney, RJJ, JMM etc. There is a very big differnce between boxing and running and a lot of people fail to realize it. I thought Urango won it by a round or two honestly, but I was disgusted with the whole fight, and how damn bias Teddy and that other guy were being, Joe Tessitore thats his fukin name. They painted a differnt picture than what was actually happening. You had a guy who was scared, and tryin to the absolute least effort possible to slide by and get a decision, and a young one dimensional power puncher who was failing to cut down the ring. Neither were dominant, but one came to win and to fight, the other came to survive and hope to pitter patt his way to a bogus win. Anyway, thats all I got to say on the subject, I've argued about this crappy fight too much already, it doesnt deserve it.

Probably from the fact Hatton has never been knocked out before and Castillo has.
Its not as if hatton hasnt been caught either, His defence isnt the best in the world so he has taken his fair share of full on shots and still walked through them all.
If his fight with Collazo was 30 seconds longer he would have been done, he was out on his feet, not "walking through them all"
He may have been a bit wobberly but he then started fighting backso cannot have been that bad!!!!
Re: Uranga-Castillo and Mayweather in 2007 for Ricky?
I have yet to see the fight between Rabah and Urango but it does sound like a fight where onwe came to fight and landed barely anything and the other ran most of the night(from all I've heard). It's difficult judging those matches. I really dislike those runners too like Spinks,Rabah etc. I prefer a Floyd or Quintana who boxes beautifully. So Hulk and P4P,you think Oscar should have lost to Tito for running those last few rounds? Was Rabah like that?

He controlled the last part of that round, its not as though he was hanging on so how do you come to the conclusion that an extra 30 secs would have been the end of him??
And as he took the shots and kept on walking, id also suggest that he did in fact 'walk through them all'
Hattons defence that night was totally non-existant. He was a human punch bag for collazo and he still couldnt put him down.
If he fought like that against a 'big' hitter then he probably would get ko'd but based on what we have seen from him and the shots he has taken flush you cant argue about his chin IMO

The Urango-Rabah robbery was probably worse than the Toney-Peter robbery. I really don't remeber Urango landing a much at all.

So back to the original point, personally I consider Castillo a big hitter, probably in my estimation hits a lot harder than Collazo. Hatton has a really good chin, I'll give you that, but Castillo has a great shot of taking him out. Although I don't know why I'm debating this with a guy named RHHATTON and a guy that has Hatton as his avatar.

I've never seen the whole DLH vs Tito fight so I can't really say. Rabah was occasionally throwin punches but refused to engage at all. It was similiar to Mayorga vs Spinks, but with Urango being less effective than Mayorga, and Rabah doin about the same amount of running as Spinks. So it was a pretty close fight, but no robbery thats for damn sure. Dunno how you can call it a robbery when Rabah just ran, never tried to hurt Urango at all, refused to engage, and tried to do the very least he could to steal rounds. Not like he worked his ass off in the fight, outboxed Urango, made him pay, hurt him, and got robbed.
