Once again Lyle your sage opinion and vast knowledge rise, like fine devonshire cream, to the top of the general intellectual ramblings that take place here.
"if he EVER fought a top teir heavyweight he'd be mauled!!"

So Valuev has already fought the #1 and #8 ranked guys and will be fighting the #14 ranked guy. And already fought Beck who lost to the #3 ranked guy in a fight that one judge had Beck winning.
P.S. I understand that every organization has their own rankings which may differ but you have to go with the organisation who's belt you hold and whom you represent.
VALUEV IS NO JOKE!

pros
1. obviously his size is a advantage against anyone!
2. i'll sum this into one pro his style. he moves his hands alot and uses his weight to lean on and wear out his opponents. at 325lbs thats an very effective style! he seems to have a decent chin and a decent punch.
3. the man used to hunt sabertooth cats and cave bears.
4. he recently mastered the use of fire.
cons
1. he looks like he could be outboxed bye someone who could come close to his size.
2. he may have stamina issues.
3. he sooooooo F****** ugly!!!!!!
CC for the great post thanx!

Every single orgainzation's rankings are biased and garbage. Why don't you go with Ring magazines rankings. And see where your boy ranks.
1, Wladimir Klitschko
2, Oleg Maskaev
3, Samuel Peter
4, James Toney
5, Shannon Briggs
6, Sergei Liakhovich
7, Lamon Brewster
8, Nicolay Valuev
9, Ruslan Chagaev
10, John Ruiz
They rank him 8th. And not only that everybody he's beaten is ranked below him. Hell everybody he's fighting is ranked below him. Why does he fight these lower rank fighters as oppose to taking chances? Cuz he's a fraud. And anybody ranked ahead of him would expose that fact.

Which kinda renders whatever the ring has got to say redundant doesnt it?
I love all these Valuev is this and Valuev is that threads. If nothing else it gives Lyle the chance to let off some steam.

Rankings matter a little more to me when the organization ain't asking for some type of fees
Re: Valuev he ain't no joke!
In the end...what it all boils down to for me concerning Valuev is that he's been improving as has his opposition.
He's still undefeated & he's proven that he's more than just a side show act.
Honestly...I think that what he's done has been an accomplishment no matter how one tries to tear down his record or wins. He's knocked out 33 or 34 of the 45 men that he's fought & that's no easy thing to accomplish.
I'll be impressed if he TKO's McCline in less than 10, it took Wlad that long, so let's see what happens.

The man (McCline) lost recently to Zuri Lawrence and has been taken the distance by Rob Calloway and Marcus Mcgee and you'll be impress with a victory over him? I consider Barrett to be a better fight than McCline. So I don't see how his competition has been improving.

If you can't see the difference in his oppositing of late compared to the fluff that he was fighting coming up...then your'e blinded by your own hate & constant need to be bitter. ;D
I'll be taking my :sadclick: now. Heh heh heh.

He beat Briggs because Briggs was a fatso who hadn't hit bottom yet. Even now Briggs is doing himself a disservice by being too big. You're trying to convince me this is a legit fight based on fighters who beat fighters--ALL THOSE GUYS AREN'T IN THE RING. Clifford Etienne has been a bum for years. Monte Barret won against a Dominick Guinn who USED to have promise.
Nikolai Valuev is the champion NOW. The time is NOW for a CHAMPION to be fighting top ten fighters, not wowing us with his size. Champions should only be fighting elites or other champions. Klitschko is fighting again in March; that could have easily been Valuev in the ring with him. Fighting McCline will prove NOTHING on the road to a Klitschko. Other than height they are absolutely nothing alike. Don King is afraid of losing his champion.
You will be hard pressed to find any elite fighters at HW in this era . these guys are babyshit green talent wise. today’s HW's wouldn’t know a combination punch from a hole in the ground . Nobody stays in the pocket and fire back, the majority of fighters in the HW division today are tentative and unsure of themselves. The old guys hanging around are the only thing that makes this division half way interesting.
Kind of reminds me of the movie business. , Hollywood is trying to replace good acting with special effects and bullshit. What they don’t realize is the storyline is still shit..
Valueve is just a special effect. no substance , no real skills and talent. Just super tall and awkward as hell, that doesn’t make up for talent and skills . If Valuve came along back in the early 90’s , he would have gotten the Mike White treatment. And if Mike White fought in today’s heavyweight era he would probably be undefeated and carrying around that Belt Valuev has. A crying shame this fucking division O0
Re: Valuev he ain't no joke!
On a serious note.
I want to take a moment to congradulate LYLE
on his recent graduation. He now moves on to the workforce trying to find a challenging opportunity in his field of expertice.
Underwater Basketweaving.
Or as us Engineering grads used to call it, a BA in Psychology....no seriously.
So what DO you say to a recent Psycology graduate????
"Id like a Big Mac,and a large order of fries....oh and a medium Coke, pimple puss."
(just so ya know for sure Lyle,im just joking. Congrats!)

If you can't see that there are better and more deserving opposition out there than McCline than your blinded by your hairy lust for the man. And take your sc.
Re: Valuev he ain't no joke!
Actually agree with VD here. There are way better fighters then McCline so a win over him does nothing imo.

Zuri Lawrence -HE just fought Calvin Brock and Sultan Ibragimov, and fought Ray Austin to a draw!
Rob Calloway -former WAA light heavyweight Champion
IBA Cruiserweight Champion
IBC SuperCruiserweight Champion
WBF Inter-Continental Heavyweight Champion
NABC Heavyweight Champion
PABA Heavyweight Champion
WBF Heavyweight Champion
WBE Heavyweight Champion
He has a current record of 60 -7-1 !
He beat Bob Mirovic (who just took Sinal Samil Sam 12 rounds),fought Ruslan Chagaev to a draw, and has been in with Audley Harrison & Hasim Rahman
Marcus Magee - He.......well..ok, well he's a bum (16-11) lol
but hes been in with Grant,Greenburg and Sultan so he'
Had his a** whooped by some guys we know!
My point is that these guys Valuev has, and is about to fight aren't all bums!
Jameel is a credible opponent
He's the current NABA and WBO holder (Remember the WBO is the belt Klitschko held in 2002,defended against Corrie Sanders and lost to Lamont Brewster!. Don't forget Jameel just challenged for the IBF belt (a legitemate trinket) in 2004.
HEY! Valuev isn't beating his chest like KING KONG and saying he's ready to take on the world,or even Klitschko, yet. BUT Jameel McCline is a VERY credible opponent and will help to prove....
VALUEV AIN'T NO JOKE!!
