Who is the hardest hitting heavyweight of all time?

Frazier wasn't the hardest puncher he was up there, and would be rated higher than some of the guys up there, but he couldn't hit as hard. As for who hits harder between Foreman and Shavers ask Ken Norton... or better watch the fights cause I doubt he remembers either one, but Shavers takes him out in one round with textbook technique and power While Foreman got him in the corner and had to pummel him for I believe 4 rounds to KO him. Also the Lyle fight he had to punch Lyle for a very long time before he went down when Foreman finished the fight. Also against Frazier he hit Frazier alot before Frazier stopped, and he did knock Frazier down six times, but he still was able to get back up. Foreman with technique could contend with Tyson, but not the ogre Foreman.

it took foreman 2 rounds to finish norton mate but i think shavers hits harder than foreman with one punch ko power imo anyway

I'm the only one that voted for marciano!? Someone said foreman hit hardest pound for pound. I'd have to side with the 5'11 184 marciano being the pound for pound hardest puncher and the hardest punching heavyweight ever. Tyson hit hard no doubt but it was his speed and technique that added alittle something to it. Foreman hit hard as well but he was also HUGE. Marciano did the damage he did being extremely undersized.

I revised it and added Frazier some reason I thought 5 was the limit...I added Dempsey because I wanted someone from yester year on the list :-\

If anyone from yester year should be on here its Joe Louis because he considered by everything I've seen as the biggest puncher ever though I very much disagree with that.

How could we forget about Joe Louis???

He could knock a man down with punches from an incredibly small distance, like that right hand against Schmeling in the second fight, by just getting ALL his bodyweight into the punch. He didn't need no big swing like Big george, just really knew how to throw a punch.

Thats why I left him off the list IMO as great as he was had a lot of KO's against guys who were not exactly up to par

its close tyson/ forman forman could punch with just brute pure strength, tyson had the strength not as much as forman but he also had the speed and skill to go with it to land the perfect punch. so all in all im going to say tyson could hit his man harder by just a shade.

the thing is some tko are consintent kd and are stopped by refere but were really knowouts so thres no tellin
