Re: Top 5 heavys Now in order
I watched the fight. Props to ya I posted my view on the other thread
Re HBH i included Hung,Beautiful,Bigshot so its not name calling.
I think that the darkhorse here might be Briggs. IF and thats a big if his sh1t punch rate against SL was due to asthma and IF (nother biggy)
It doesnt happen again, He's not too bad. Has some decent tools, size and is a good counter puncher. The big Question is stamina. Sergie Liakovich has no excuse as far as I can tell he just plain sucked.
The Toney/Peter II was the best and worst thing that could have happened to each fighter.
Peter improved Tremendously! Showed a great desire and work ethic in his training, even missing going home for Christmas to train. Erased the controversy of the first fight.
Made EVERYONE fall in love with him by his gracious and humble comments post fight. Showed that he is the best guy to take on the rest of the Heavyweight divison. Came in leaner, increased his punch output, showcased his skills and won the hearts of millions.
Point by point. James Toney did exactly the opposite!
Making a HW top 10 list is hard, Maybe I'll just line em up biggest to smallest...
lets see Oh ya! VALUEV! Klitschko! Briggs! Peter!
where's that short ass Toney oh ya waaayyyy down the list...
The GOOD thing for Toney falling so far down the heavyweight list..
Its right near the top of the Cruiserweight list! Say HI to Chris Byrd for me!

Re: Top 5 heavys Now in order
Briggs has had his whole life to become in shape. He really looked like he embraced good work ethic in his Liakhovich fight. Think about it. This guy was breathing crazy hard. This was a bum who was given one last shot at the world title and that was the preparation. Asthma was just damage control.
