Im afraid that Ricky is as good as hes going to get, his best days were 3 years ago, has nobody else noticed the snap and motorization isnt there as it once was have a good look.

Ricky was going to face Lazcano at Light Welter (Rickys fighting weight) but Lazcano hurt his hand prior to the fight. HBO offer Ricky the chance to fight Welterweight Champion Luis Collazo instead as no other fight was available. Even though his camp advised him not to (Billy Graham mostly) he liked the idea of becoming a two weight world champ, so he agreed. He never officially moved up in weight at all so there is no way you can say he made excuses for coming back down. I cant make that any clearer.
Fair enough. Still, if he said he's gonna give him a rematch, he should do so.

Why is it that Hatton would move to 147 to fight Mayweather but not Collazo? It's because he feels he loses to both of them. Only with Mayweather he gets big pay for his loss.

Believe me...I want to see Hatton win some big fights...but it's debatable if he does.

Okay...great. But how do people rip into a fighter like Floyd one so technically gifted...one that breezed through all of his 37 challenges & some great fighters (that everyone likes to forget) & then laude a fighter with a career record of only two worthy fighters out of 41 bouts.
It just don't make sense. Again...I like Hatton...but fair is unfair & right is wrong when it comes to Floyd with his critics & especially Hatton fans trying to plead his case.

Cuz he ain't a British fighter. They ignored the garbage Hatton and his buddy (Calzaghe) fight through out the years. But bad mouth Mayweather. Cc Wack for telling it like it is.

That's exactly why they picked Collazo. They taught he was a weak champion who couldn't punch. Collazo was bad mouthed so much that Frank Warren even had footage of Collazo only loss (at that time) against Edwin Cassiani on it. Saying Hatton career was not going to benefit by facing such a weak fighter. People forget that Collazo was picked by Hatton and his people. Not HBO. Collazo had only fought on Showtime before. Never on HBO. HBO was not familiar with Collazo. They only approved him cuz he was a title holder and Lazcano (a bulked up Lightweight) got hurt.

Very good points. I think Floyd has been taking a fairly easy route to his p4p status recently but at least he has more than one name on his list.

Here's something I wanna say...& I'm just trying to be honest...I respect Hatton & I respect Calzaghe & I honestly respect Calzaghe's record more than Hatton's based on the fact that Joe was fighting live bodies...they may not have been live bodies that most American's new of...but they were live bodies & pulled their weight in the 160-175 marks.
With Hatton...I see him as more of a primo-managed Gatti. A rich man's Gatti if you will.
Surely Hatton is a bit better grouped & skilled than Gatti on a boxer's level...but he's been handled better & he's also fought a lower caliber of opposition. He's had some great fights...but not against any greats other than Kostya. The same can not be said of Gatti. While he has faltered...he's fought more world class opposition.
Now...IWO...the fault here falls down the line to his promoter...or the advantage for Hatton goes to the promoter. Get me? It's kind of he's damned if he did or didn't while with Warren. Not sure he's going to do much better now with his current backers.
Also...Scrap touched on a good point...he's late in the game now...& I honestly question the end of the road for Hatton. I wonder if he's setting himself up for a big disappointment.
That being said...this is another one of the things that agitates me regarding people tearing into Floyd's record.
As for Collazo...people say that he was underratted & that he's only made a name off of the Hatton loss/win perception...honestly...again...I'm just trying to be honest here...I had only seen him once or twice...& no matter who he fights...the kid does well & that is that.
I wasn't swayed over to his favor by the fact that it was Hatton that he lost to...I was swayed by the fact that he boxed Hatton's ass off for the duration of the fight, brawled & boxed with the brawler, & that he recovered from the knock down so easily.
