Why DO fans dislike certain fighters?

#1 is style. I gotta judge what a man does in the ring above anything else to decide whether I like them or not. What they say outside the ring is fine with me. Showboating and trash talking is all fine with me. Like lance said the sport needs villains and characters. But guys I can't stand watching in the ring get my first nod for boxers I dislike.
#2 is ducking good fighters. Because if they meet the first criteria and I like the way they fight but they choose not to fight anyone the fans wanna see, that does no good either.

I put ducks fighters, and other

other: doesn't fight often enough.

i.e. just about all the alphabet title holders.
these guys are pros, they should be fighting at least 4 times a year.

It took me years to forgive Oscar for that. I didn't start to like him again until the first Mosley fight. Once he took the loss to Tito and got beat by Mosley, I think he got a little more character, or at least I started relate to him more once he had suffered some set backs. Once the boxing karma police leveled out the scales with him, I forgave him.

I don't like Ricky Hatton because he does'nt fight the top names he should be after the younger fighters not all the old has beens and he as avoided Junior Witter like the plague. He should want fighters like floyd mayweather,zab judah,miguel cotto,shane mosley,antonio margarito,but no he fights an old kostya tszyu,luis collazo,carlos maussa and juan urango. Now he's gunna fight a washed up jose luis castillo and were guna pay to watch it i predict the first live body he fights he gets beat and best of all knocked out.

"Boring fight style" and "Ducks good fighters"
No matter what happens outside the ring, inside he should fight against everybody and do whatever he knows, everything, the best he can.

Yes by all means he has a reason to avoid Junior Witter....why? who the fuck is Junior Witter??? that's fucking why!

Hatton has called out everyone and their mama but the thing that goes against him is he fights in England and rarely anywhere else but he has been willing to travel lately which will be great for him

Good point. I am as unimpressed by what B-Hop has to say outside the ring as I am in awe of his skill inside the ring. Not enough to make me dislike the fighter as a whole though.

Wow, I'm not even a DLH fan, but he's never ducked anyone. There's no active fighter with a more impressive list of opponents.
The only big opponents I can think of who Tito fought first were Carr, Vargas, Hopkins and Mayorga. And I don't think Tito took too much out of Hopkins, seeing that Bernard kicked his a** for 12 rounds.

Well ODLH could have fought Winky but he didn't and then he goes and sign him (smart ducking move)

As for B-Hop he threw my flag to the ground(that does it for me) And I don't care if it was for promotionla BS or the fact that he apologize

Ya, and instead he's fighting Floyd Mayweather, the #1 PFP fighter in the sport. If he wanted to duck people, he wouldn't duck them to fight Mayweather instead.

Even without Winky, there is no current fighter with as impressive a list of opponents as DLH. Or is there someone you can think of who has a better one?

I personally think this fight against PBF is ridiculous he is just too big. Ok don't jump on me that fast I know PBF is very skillfull but come on.... he knows PBF can't hurt him, so he will have 12 rounds to try to take him out without the posibility of getting hurt and if he does shame on him ;D

Ok but you said in your original post that DLH ducked good fighters unless Tito fought them first. Who has fought a better list of opponents than DLH?

There is no way the Mayweather fight is more dangerous to ODLH than fighting Winky Wright. FACT.
