Lyle good point (as i have seen this point made in arguements before.Quote:

Now,this arguement is difficult for me to give my opinion on, for 1, i love both fighters. But if i have to put tysons best performance against marciano's best performance.... id have to say tyson would have a slight edge. even though marciano was a tough S O B, i aint seen many guys who fought for years, scared to fight an 18 year old. Its hard to think of tyson in his prime, because it was happen so quick. But he was devastating.
That is the problem with tyson his glory days were over so quickly and also when tyson was at his peak he was early 20's lennox was late 30's so it is hard to match them ive always said tyson would win easy but thats why i did this for others opinions. Im new to this site and i thinks its brill thanks for the opinions guys
If they fought 10 times, a prime Lewis beats a prime Tyson 7-8 times.
Lennox got knocked out by Hasim Rahman in his prime in 5 rounds yes he got revenge but that should'nt have happend Tyson would have knocked Lennox out no probs
Lewis was not in his prime (state of mind & conditioning) for the first Rahman. Lewis had grown overly confident and lazy and side tracked with a movie I think. If you think the above would occur if Lewis ever fought Tyson you are mistaken.
Lewis was in his mid-30s, weighed over 250 pounds, and hadn't shown up in South Africa ahead of time to get adjusted to the altitude.Quote:

with the name Lennox "the Canadian traitor" Lewis.
Remember Tyson against a quite skilled and good sized Trevor Berbick ?(who I picked to win by the way)

I don't know if anyone survives, never mind beats a prime Tyson...
except of course ... NICOLAI VALUEV.
Tyson in 1986-88 would have easily destoyed a lumbering Lewis, if Rahman could flatten Lewis at any time in his career then surely Tyson would have done the same. 2mins topsQuote:

This is pretty poor logic. Larry Holmes was 36 years old and past his prime when he lost to Spinks. Holmes is a great champion, but he wasn't great anymore by the time Spinks beat him.Quote:

I think a prime Holmes would've beaten Tyson just like a prime Lewis would. And this isn't even mentioning a prime Ali, who would've run circles around Tyson.
