Re: *Breaking News* It's OFFICIAL - Miranda vs. Pavlik on May 19th on HBO*
I think Pvlik is gonna get the better of Miranda, I predict a brutal fight and Pavlik is gonna be teeing off on Mirandas head all night. Pavlik has lots of punches, not just a good right. I like both of these guys but I think Pavlik brings more to the table, and he has power just like Miranda.

You know 'Pantera' really creating a HUGE following even if you don't like him you gotta give the kid a whole lotta credit for the sh*t! he been doing this kids got a machete in his hand and is literally cutting down anything thats in his way.....
YOu gotta applaud that kids got ball$, JT better watch out cause that video he made 'Pantera' really ment that sh*t! he wasn't jokin or putting on a show...
4 fights in less than 8 months. That is unheard of at his level.
Plus, his last 5 opponents (including Pavlik) have a record of 134-4 with a 111 KOs (82% KO ratio, 97% win ratio).
Now that's what a true champion should be doing!

As far as speed, Pavlik does have the edge early on but Pavliks known to start slapping his punches by the 4th round IMO it has to do with the amount of punches he throws early on. To me Pavlik needs to controll his pace and manage his punch output he doesn't wanna gas out early on.

I wouldn't say all night, I mean if the fight goes on to the later stages Pavlik will connect some punches but I wouldn't call it teeing off...... And I agree it should be a really good fight. Mirandas already shown that can Pavlik step up and make it aa good fight? Well see.....

It puts punches together and does this well but as I said in the other statement I noticed he slaps his punches there for not putting all his power behind them. It seems like he catches himself doing this and fixes it the next round or something but he can't afford to do that here against Miranda.

When you say brings more to the table, what do you mean by that?
Yeah! they both got power the only thing is I slightly favor MIrandas power and I'll tell you why. Mirandas power has been teste against Champions and highly regarded contenders. Pavliks power has been tested against McKart & Zuniga who IMO are Pavliks best opposition which doesn't really say much..
All in all it should be a good fight......

Yeah! man this kids really becoming a menace, just wish more fighters were like that and step up and make things happen.

Pavlik will win this by Ko easier than more people expect 8)
Re: *Breaking News* It's OFFICIAL - Miranda vs. Pavlik on May 19th on HBO*
I'm more hyped for this fight than I am for De La Hoya Vs. Mayweather.
Miranda may snap Pavlik's neck with a thundering right.
Re: *Breaking News* It's OFFICIAL - Miranda vs. Pavlik on May 19th on HBO*
Regardless of who wins neither will stand a chance against Taylor. Despite all his showings after fighting guys like Wright and Hopkins Miranda will be like hitting the broad side of a barn. His jab is like a right cross from most middleweights, and it will be connecting easily against Miranda. People asked where JT's jab was in the last two fights? Well he gets off his best jabs when his left is carried low or across his body, and he fought to soutpaws with their hand up which makes that punch almost impossible to land. However Miranda has a poor defense, worse footwork, and is slow so JT will find him really easily.

Good points...but Taylor has shown to be very VERY hittable when put in with someone that he can't imtimidate & get the "bigger guy" point out there front & center.
I'd pick Miranda to stop him or batter him senseless.
Miranda is limited...but he's not completely void of talent.
Honestly...I wouldn't mind seeing Miranda as the New Middy Champ of the World & that's saying something because I really didn't like Miranda & I used to be really big up on Taylor. Taylor just hasn't done nearly enough nor has he been convincing since his showings against Wright & Hopkins...all of which weren't convincing worth a fwock.
Taylor would have to fight smart & I mean all 12 rounds to handle Miranda...again...convincingly.
Re: *Breaking News* It's OFFICIAL - Miranda vs. Pavlik on May 19th on HBO*
Taylor needs to learn how to relax in the ring if he does, his speed and power will be better and he'll be more accurate because he's a little more loose.
Pavlik is an unknown at this point....I will say if Kelly frustrates him it'll really turn ugly.
Miranda is all about going toe to toe and if anyone offers him something else he goes crazy....I saw it with Allan Green too, Miranda was just irate because Green wouldn't stand and fight him.
I would hate to ever see Miranda fight Winky Wright.
Re: *Breaking News* It's OFFICIAL - Miranda vs. Pavlik on May 19th on HBO*
When I say he brings more to the table I meant an all around better boxer. Hes got a way better jab, and can throw the left hook, which Allen Green hit him with alot. Kelly works off the jab and that will frustrate Miranda. They have about the same reach and equally bad defense so I think it will be brutal.
Re: *Breaking News* It's OFFICIAL - Miranda vs. Pavlik on May 19th on HBO*
Mostly true, but Kelly has never been on this level before and I really think he is going to be surprised how different it is. A huge stepup in class from anything he has faced. Miranda has been here a few times and has shown he is worthy, is Pavlik? I dont think so, but we will find out soon enough.
Re: *Breaking News* It's OFFICIAL - Miranda vs. Pavlik on May 19th on HBO*
It is going to be a very interesting fight. IMO Pavlik will win by TKO in later rounds. A lot of people say Pavlik has not fought anybody? He has been in the ring with Taylor, Hanshaw, Zuniga, McKart, Zertuche. Grant it, Taylor and Hanshaw was in the olympic trials, but he has been in the ring with them. I will agree that a couple of Mirandas oppositions are more credible, but not by too much.

Ams & Pros are 2 worlds apart I wouldn't put too much emphasis on the fact that Pavlik was in a ring as Ams......
Thats like when people said Abdullaev would beat Cotto cause he has beat him in the Ams.....
Re: *Breaking News* It's OFFICIAL - Miranda vs. Pavlik on May 19th on HBO*
I'm honestly surprised so many people are so high on Miranda. IMO, he's even more rough around the edges then Lacy was. An active fighter with a warriors mentality and mean punching power. And picking him to beat JT is something I thought barely anyone would do.
I like Kelly's chances. Pavlik has a mean right hand a sneaky left hook. Pretty good fighter and a very astute puncher. He knows how to punch and he doesn't waste to much in doing so. Very straight puncher and very accurate, always a deadly combination.
Miranda on the other hand is just an animal. Not all right around the edges, he's not exactly patient but the guy is one of the more intimidating fighters in the game. Pavlik is going to have to be all there mentally and not be scared of Miranda if he wants to win the fight. He can't be moving backwards if he wants to beat Miranda, doesn't mean he has to be moving forward but he can't fight off the back foot. Easier said then done but you're not going to expose any holes in Miranda's defense backpeddling and that has been something that I've seen Pavlik do a couple times. More of a lazy habit imo, but if he does it against Miranda he better watch the fwock out.
He has the tools to beat Miranda, and it could very well happen. But to do it he needs to stand his ground, sneak that left hook in on Miranda, follow up and then circle around. Or do something to that extent. A lot of people say that you beat Miranda by keeping him outside, well I don't totally agree. He has a very tight defense on the outside, it's basically a shell it's when he is moving in and looking to make something happen where his defense opens up and that's where Pavlik is going to have to do his work. And his arsenal of punches seem to be made for a guy like Miranda but there is always that X factor of a huge Colombian power house coming at you and whether or not you can keep your poise. But if he can, if he can stay composed and catch Miranda in transition even if it means abandoning the jab a bit, laying a trap for Miranda to open up and come inside then so be it. Again, the X factor. But if he can, it very well could be a frustrating night for Miranda. And that's not at all far fetched. I mean the one time Green opened up he dropped Miranda as Miranda was moving forward. Howard Eastman, caught Miranda moving forward. The blue print is there just no one could execute it. Pavlik is a guy with that capability.
But on the flipside, if Pavlik loses, he loses big in this one. Miranda's blows are like missals in the air, they may be a bit loopy and they may take a while to get there but they bang hard.
I'm going to go ahead and predict a Miranda KO but I wouldn't be surprised to see it go the other way. Like I said Miranda has more then enough tools to beat him, it's knowing how to use them that counts. And big fight inexperience could cost him here. A win for either fighter is huge imo.
This is one I'm going to be able to catch. Glad too, I know there has been talk in Ohio about this one for years, even before both were real big. Should be fun. I'm a lot more excited for this then I am Allen Green - Edison Miranda yet when that fight got signed it seems people were more excited. I never saw it in Allan.
Re: *Breaking News* It's OFFICIAL - Miranda vs. Pavlik on May 19th on HBO*
Kelly's weakness like in his last fight is he likes to stay in the pocket when he isn't a pocket fighter and comes in with any straight open to hit him, Miranda isn't an inside fighter and his power comes from a distance but so does Kelly's, this is a battle of who gets there first
