Because a Marquez that's force to come forward all night is a losing Marquez. He is a wonderful counterpuncher and he shows this against Manny Pacquiao, but against Chris John and other counter punchers when he's forced to fight off his front foot and not his back foot he looks bad. And Barerra is gonna make Marquez lead to him and pick him off and apart. Barrera is two mega fights away from challenging Julio Cesar Chavez for Mexico's crown (King of Boxing) for the history of boxing. Marquez is step one and hopefully Pacman is step two with a farewell fight maybe in 08. Damn I love boxing.

I don't know about that one, I mean Chavez literally had the whole country behind him. But I don't know....he might not be the most endeared but I think he's the greatest Mexican boxer ever.

I'm definately not a Barrera hater, far from, the guy is brilliant, one of the great talents of the division. It's just THIS fight at THIS stage of his career. Gotta go with how I picture it in my head. Marquez is about due his career defining performance.

Fair enough guys , ive just never seen Marco getting beaten when he is 100% and theres no reason to suggest he wont be 100% this Saturday .
Everything about this fighttells you that its a career defining moment for both men . Its not like Marco can turn up casual like he did against Pedan or Pac . Here he will be focused like he was in the rematch with Juarez and the 3rd fight with Erik. They couldnt deal with it , neither can Marquez IMO.
