Re: Jon 'Jono' Thaxton v Scott Lawton - British Lightweight Title - dRBR
Round 7....I am not hallucinating.
Body shots from Callaghan, and Pickering pushes him out of the clinch so hard he bounces off the ropes. Pickering is jabbing and moving, and doesn't need to do more, as he is so dominant. When it gets on the inside, Pickering is throwing well, especially to the body. Nice uppercut, and somewhere in there, Callaghan got his left eye cut. Flurry of body shots from Callaghan, and Pickering brings both arms down to protect. Two jabs from Callaghan. Pickering with a jab and right hook.
Callaghan has his best round of the night....and still doesn't win it.
70-63

Round...?????....8
Pickering jabing accurately at another cut on the top of Callaghan's head. He's jabbing well, and Callaghan just doesn't have any answer. Hard hooks and rights from pickering, but even though pickering's nose is bleeding, Callaghan looks close to being stopped. Big straight rights, and a hook from Pickering. Flurry of swift body shots from Callaghan. Hard right and left from Pickering. Jabs from Callaghan, and a hard left to the body. Pickering with a body shot, and uppercut and a hook. More body shots, another uppercut amd a right hook. Callaghan sweeps a right out and misses.
You know.

Round 10.
Decent left from Callaghan but Pickering is back in the rhythm. Hard right hook. Uppercut and hook from Pickering. Callaghan not throwing anything, and he is far too outmatched. Pickering picking him off with hard shots no, and the occasional flurry to the body is his only weapon, and not that effective. Big left from Pickering, and Pickering is teeing off now, with hooks and uppercuts and nothing coming back. Another Flurry from Callaghan will give him grace till the end of the round. Hard right from Pickering.
This is the equivalent of Manchester United beating Ipswich 9-0.

Round12:
Hard hooks from Pickering, and jabs. Callaghan squats and moves his head. Jab from him. Body shot and uppercut from Pickering. Body shots from Callaghan. Body shots from Pickering, amd more jabs. Jab, straight, uppercut from Pickering. Callaghan tries to throw thebody shot, but uppercuts and body shots and Pickering is not letting up. Callaghan looks exhauseted. Body shot and uppercut from Pickering. He's flurrying now, with an uppercut, a hook and Callaghna falls into a clinch, with the boy of Pickering holding him up.
This was a horrible drubbing, and there was little point in Callaghan going beyond 8 rounds except for pride. 958 puinches thrown by Pickering in the bout.
Re: Jon 'Jono' Thaxton v Scott Lawton - British Lightweight Title - dRBR
So the scorecards are 120-108, 120-108, 120-109, and to be honest Callaghan was lucky to share one round on one of the three cards.
Anyhow, CC's to you all, and check in next week if there's a fight on, otherwise you can find me asleep and/or drunk in a gutter somewhere in Wales.

As an experienced drunk, and an experienced Welshman, (I am proficient in both disciplines) I know exactly what one of those is. If we have another today, because it's St Pat's the comparison will be a drunken Irishman.
