And when you factor in the power punch stats, I don't see how you could have MAB winning if you wnat to go off punch stats. People keep saying "MAB threw and landed more!". He landed about 7 more punches over the course of 12 rounds. I believe compubox had Marquez landing something like 40 more power punches.

i didnt have barrera winning i had it draw and 40 more power punches are mis leading and you know why ?? because marquez had two massive rounds in 7th he battered barrera and must of outlanded barrera by close to 30 power punches in that round then in another round he outlanded barrera by 10 power punches thats why thats misleading stat
Re: The 7th round "knockdown"
So what about rounds where most of MAB's landed punches were grazing jabs? Is that misleading?

in most of the early rounds both men were only jabbing and sometimes landing left hook or right hand not many times and im not basing it off punchstats but what the punchstats do prove is that it was competitive and marquez didnt win by wide margin that judges had it and what you had it either
and barrera did outjab marquez thats not misleading stat
Re: The 7th round "knockdown"
Some judges will go on who forces the pace others on stats and others on telling shots 8)

cant really blame Nady for taking the point off but i do think there should be an outside system in place for when the refs do miss stuff like this :-\
i blame Nady for not calling anything at all.. that made mab want to punch jmm since there was no knockdown called and nady was no where to be found...
Thats still no excuse to hit someone when they are down, it was clear MAB was getting a bit frustrated as I said he knew what he was doing when he threw that punch and this is what he said in the post press conference and I quote....
"When I see blood I go for it. If Jay Nady was doing his job and stopped me once the knockdown occurred then I wouldn't have had the chance to hit (Marquez) when he was down."
This isn't ultimate fighting when a mans down a mans down you step back OR continue to throw but be prepared for the consecunses....
Yes, Nady missed the knockdown which was crucial FOR THAT ROUND, but that doens't justify what MAB did....
If RJJ was DQ'd for what he did MAB was very fortunate to walk away with a 1 point deduction ONLY.....

Well I saw it different, I think they traded rounds in the beiginign going 1 and 1 for most of the rounds if you notice JMM used better combinations, harder punches and he was the one that pressed forawrd look at whos going backwards and whos going forawrds also if you notice for the most part of a round JMM is more active and is pressing forward with combinations while MAB always tried to steal the rounds by wining the last 20 to 30 seconds of the rounds.
The way I see it is like this right now the fight is still fresh and the contreversy of the knockdown not ruled and the contrversy of MAB hitting JMM while he was down is still fresh.... But once the dust settles watch the fight again as I said pay attention to JMM activity vs. MABs see whs pressing forawrd and landing combiantions look at how MAB always gets busy to the end of the round while JMM is busy threw out, MAB looked tired out for a couple of rounds and look at how many rounds JMM looked tired, none he was consistent throughout.....
All in all good scrap but I still saw a clear win for JMM now that 'I've seen the fight sober but my head is still spining....

when you say clear win do you mean by 2 rounds because i have no problem with that but i have problem with judges scores and terp scoring it 117-110
i will watch it again tommorow but i saw alot of close rounds which could of gone either way

Re: The 7th round "knockdown"
I wasnt bothered who won so im in a pretty good positon of just enjoying what was a great fight.
i feel sorry for the Barrera fans because of the scorecards but i have no complaints about the winner or Nady.
but i will add as i did last night that some sort of camera evidence should be in place for when the ref does miss stuff. to review when the round ends.

The knockdown you know I think like Saddo, Nady was positioned in a bad angle and IMO, missed it as for the hitting while JMM weas dowbn I for a spluit second thaought MAB was gonna be disqualified as I saw Nabdy grab MABs arm then I reailesed he was gonna deduct a point only.... IMO I think like Saddo also that certainly Nady was there to try ans stopd MABs shot but MAB said F*** it I'll throw it anahyeas and see If I can get away with it.....

What about when Pac hit Marquez when he was down ? 3rd knockdown ? Should he have been warned ? Nadys incompetance cost Barrera 4 points . Should have been 10-8 for him, turned out to be 10-8 against him
