Re: How Would Ali Have Done In 90s
I take Lewis to be big enough, strong enough and smart enough to beat Ali. Good on the outside, deceptively good up close. Lewis UD ;)

He wasn't that great on inside and he got out jabbed alot by smaller men i pick Ali to out jab lewis and win decision
Re: How Would Ali Have Done In 90s
Mate did you see him nearly take Vitalis head of with the uppercut? Or get in fourteen unanswered upperscuts (might have been three actually) on Justin Fortune, or when he ruined Michael Grant with the uppercut.

Not at all Ali had fault's he had off days like every boxer but its well known he was green against Cooper and Cooper got lucky punch and it was very very hard punch that would of knocked most boxers out but he got up come out for next round and stopped Cooper where as Lewis got floored twice and got koed twice.
It's well known Lewis losses were solely because he didn't train properly,
got caught with "lucky" punches that would of knocked out most boxers in history (including Ali), and he showed how unlucky the losses were by avenging them in emphatic style. ;)
Nah i see Ali get hit harder like overhand right Shavers hit him with many times he didn't go down and Joe Fraizer left hook how hell he got up from that ill never know.
Nah, the two shots that knocked Lewis out were seriously extra special punches, the type you don't see, don't remember, and the type that spark everybody.
No-way Ali could get flattened by 13st Cooper and survive super shots like those. Which means it's a fact no-way Ali could take Lewis power. ;)
You keep bringing this up and ill copy and paste it again what i said to you last time
Against Cooper he just got caught with picture perfect hook remember Marciano was only 180s pounds and is considered top 5 hardest hitter of all time sometimes size doesn't mean anything if they get good leverage into punch and there whole body weight behind it which Cooper did and he easily beat Cooper in rematch
And also he got hit by top 5 hardest hitting hws of all time did he go down ?? no did lewis get knocked out by average fighters ?? yes

He was decent sometimes but he wasn't great on inside like Bowe ect im not taking anything away from Lewis i think he is good fighter i always stick up from him but in this case Ali vs Lewis i disagree with you Memphis.
Re: How Would Ali Have Done In 90s
Ali lost to Norton & Fraizer.
Holy lost to Bowe, Moorer, Lewis :( (for the sake of the debate I wont include Ruiz & Byrd since some people will say Holy was past his best)
Lennox lost to McCall & Rahman :(
Am I missing something ???
And I won't even bother with Bowe, Morrison & Mercers records cause they couldn't carry Alis sweat towel IMO.
Re: How Would Ali Have Done In 90s
Holyfield would have beaten Ali the night Frazier did, Ali was a little shy on match practice and Holy would have been too persistant on that occasion.
Holyfield W15
;)

So say Lewis got good leverage into the punch, landed the perfect right hand, and the fact he weighed 250, and the fact Ali went down from a guy that weighed 180, Ali would of been KO'D. FACT! :)

Possibly but would Lewis have speed to catch Ali with that type of punch ??

And Ali didnt get off a punch against Holmes and lost to Spinks, Berbick when he was past it...
Ali was Great but he aint perfect... Holy has all the heart of Frazier and more.... As I ponder this even more I believe Lewis could beat Ali... Lewis may have lost to those 2 guys but he beat there azzes the 2nd time around
Re: How Would Ali Have Done In 90s
Speed wasn't a prob for Lewis...In fact he could do the 100 metres in 10secs
He'd of had NO PROBLEM catching Ali with the perfect shot, at the perfect time and getting the perfect result. Fact! ;)
Re: How Would Ali Have Done In 90s
I think he would have been the best boxer of the 90's. But I also think Lewis or Holyfield would have sorted him out. Morrison & Tyson would have had a punchers chance and that's about it.

Aww come on Jt you and i know both know Ali had brain damage by that time Holy has ton of heart but he isn't as quick as Ali remember Jt that Holyfield only beat old Larry holmes by 7 rounds to with Holyfield losing last 3 rounds and Lewis well good fighter but i have already give my reasons why i think he would lose because he allows smaller men to out jab him and his chin is bit suspect.
