Read that mate, its Englands national day really. An asian family three streets away called the police last year because they found it offensive and made them insecure about there part in the community. That was what the police said anyway.....I was pretty pissed to be honest!
....um why would that be offensive???
Then again I like the Stars & Bars (the flag of the Confederacy).....flags aren't inherently evil, they mean different things to different people but I'd be damned if I couldn't hang any kind of flag up on my house!!!!
The Police would have another thing coming if they thought they could tell me to take down a flag....but then again I have no idea what it's like in England.....but it sounds like you need stronger conservative leadership there......give Ol' Maggie a call! ;D
Lyle,I don't understand. One minute you say people should be allowed to express themselves etc but then you are qestioning why a family complained about the flag??? If we are in a democratic society where people are able to express their opinions,should they not be able to say that they don't like the flag?? I don't mean to sound rude,it's just a question.
[color=blue]I was a bit cold the other day, so I lit a fire through the letterbox of my neighbour's house. Lovely and warm, it was - I was all toasty and nice all evening. The people in the house all died a terrible death, but that's just an unfotunate by-product (omelettes and eggs and all that)
Then the police came around and told me I couldn't do it ....... I could not believe it, what is the country coming to, it's political correctness gone mad, looney leftie council liberals, an affront to personal freedoms etc.
I am getting sick and tired of the social fascists ....... but next time I was cold I went to the other neighbour's house (and, do you know what? - he bundled his family into their car and drove off when they saw me coming!! Now we are getting the destruction fo traditional social values as a result of the PC over-regulating of society) Anyway, I was mindful that my freedoms have been limited to the extent that I could not burn their house down to keep warm, so i had to content myself with shitting in their bed and giving their dog fleas.
