Greensboro (my hometown) used to be a Yankee affiliate so I have seen MANY Yankee's play ball growing up, and I have more respect for them than the mercs: Petite, Mattingly, Vince Coleman, Jeter, Cano (last Yankee to come through here), Posada, even YOUR BOY Hideki Irabu played here!!!!
Greensboro also used to be a Red Sox affiliate too and Schilling played here then.
Now we're a Marlins affiliate which is good because their farm teams are damn good, Jeremy Hermida was one of ours he's now a starter for the Marlins

I was getting hints here and there that you were a yankee fan, (due to the aggression in this convo towards schilling) and now that you confessed it, it all makes sense. TRue this topic was started about Curt, but the true reasoning behind this entire topic was your being a yankee fan, letting out some aggression on those yankees "great" ball.
1)Your sour because for one, new york yankees method of "Buying" championships isnt working, nor will it work for years to come.
2)They may have won 26 championships.HOWEVER, during the playoffs they will forever be known as the Only team in baseball history to lose a series when winning 3-0. Talk about choke.
3)You defend barry bonds because what curt schilling is saying about bonds applies to members on the yankees or fomerly on the yankees. Sheffield, Giambi. It hurts i know, but those guys cheat. And they will always have clouds over their heads where TRUE baseball fans will turn their backs on those losers.
4) Your team sucks right now, you have nothing coming up from the farm system, your only prospect is hurt (hughes) because you rushed him to pitch because you had NO ONE. Even with roger clemens you wont win shit, he is pitching almost half way through the season and by then those yankees will be so far out of 1st that clemens times 3 wont help you into the post season.
5) Yankees have no clue what the words "farm system" is. for years the yankees have relied on other teams in MLB to provide them with their players, and now, its biting them in the ass because some ball clubs are growing balls and saying NO to NY. and keeping their goods.
6) you put down curt schilling, saying he is a wanna be CLemens...however schilling is doing farely well for himself.
7) also, dont try to discredit curt schilling and his acomplishments just because your team, basically sucks.
