He fought a good fight but he lost. Taylor is a guy who fights to the level of the guys he fights. If the guy is good he will show his talent. I think Pavlik will make things easy for Taylor to shine. Effective aggressiveness is how you win moving forward, and with boxing you have to land effective counters and control the action and not get hit. Cory did not do that. Cory fought a busy fight and was quicker with shorter punches but he did not land a solid punch. How can you win a fight like that?

It was teh same way Floyd beat Oscar .
Spinks stuck to his gameplan and fought his fight .Taylor didnt . You could see at the end the look on both fighters faces , they knew the score and so did Manny Stewart

That was a Mexican standoff if I've ever seen one. Spinks did what everone expected him to do and Taylor embarrassed himself.

I say the fight should have ended in a "no contest"
But in all fairness to Cory, the 117 -110 score was not all wrong. He made Taylor turn, follow and freeze for 11 rounds. Taylor was the definition of inept. While Cory did not do much in terms of offense, his game plan worked better than Taylors and looked more composed and relaxed thoughout the fight. He was in complete control while Taylor was trying to find himself. I have to give the edge to Cory in this one atleast 7 rounds to 5.

Didn't Mayweather beat the champ by running two weeks ago? Taylor should realise you can't win a fight when you don't throw fucking punches. The guy was shocking. Spinks didn't do much, but at least he threw punches!!!

I agree with Ice Cold. I has Spinks win on Saturday, but I had it 116-114 for Taylor against Winky...I really wanted Winky to win tho.

I had to :coolclick: you. Least it became abundantly clear why Calzaghe wants this fight. To be honest though, after JT's last few displays, even if JC wins I don't think he'll get the credit because of how bad JT has looked recently. JC should go cement the legacy by fighting the guy who's undefeated in his own division.

You know I am truly hoping that Taylor turns out to be one of those guys who fights at his opponents level??...At least there would be an excuse for these performences....
Judges decision or not...Corey Spinks is the real Winner of this whole deal justy due to the fact everyone (Including myself) thought this was a lamb on his way to sacrifice.....

no it was not the same way Floyd beat Oscar. Look at punchstats. FLoyd was landing more effective punches. Big difference. Taylor controlled the action.. So did Floyd. Big difference
