Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
Happiest-
Hagler over Hearns
:coolclick: to CutMeMick- Duran over SRL-I was alive to watch that fight.
Lewis over Holy-finally got what he deserved.
Holmes over Cooney
Morrales over Pac
Saddest-
Douglas over Tyson
BHOP OVER TITO-F@@@ that, I'm still hurt
Leonard over Duran 2
Leonard over Hagler-which I still don't believe-And I'm not in denial.
Have to add Floyd to my happiest- Chico,JLC,Gatti,Oscar- In my honest opinion, (with the exception of Gatti), I thought Floyd might lose. But, when you've watched a fighter from day 1, and been a fan, and he prevails, and even proved your fears wrong, you got to love it. Even though I debate with my unbiased opinion, I give shouts to those who root with their hearts, no matter who your favorite is.
Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
I am a Thomas Hearns fan and the saddest I was was after Hagler beat him in 1985.. And when Barkley beat him in 1988.. Actually depressed me. Happiest when Hearns beat Roldan and when he fought Ray well. Another happy time was when Tyson became champ. Also happy when Judah was stopped by Tsyzu.
Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
Happiest: When Winky beat Taylor/Winky dismanteling Tito, even though I'm a big Trinidad fan, I'm a bigger Winky fan and that fight got me into boxing.
Saddest: When the judges robbed Winky/Corrales losing to Clottey and then passing away shortly after (RIP Chico)
I was also pretty damn happy watching Sergio Mora beat Manfredo to win a cool 1mil, even though that show is a damn joke.
I'm sure that won't be a popular opinion, but who cares.

CC on all fronts. I was beside myself the entire Winky - Taylor fight, I never yelled quite like that before. Then when the scorecards were announced, and my friends who were cracking up at me can vouch for this, I threw my hat and it like boomeranged around a plant and landed back on the couch. Weird. But yeah, Wright won that damn fight every way you look at it. Overall he got it, and he won enough rounds. He ran away for like 30 seconds after a good round and got slighted for it. BS >:mad
Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
Saddest: When Mundine knocked out nice guy Sam Soliman
Happiest: When nice guy Ottke knocked out Mundine
Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
happiest - hopkins - tarver : just liked to see tarver get owned.
saddest - i was gutted seeing morales get beat in 3 rounds by pacman.
Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
happiest - mayweather beating dlh
saddest - matthew macklin gettin KO'd by jamie moore n taken to hospital
Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
its kind of a toss up for me. Being a huge james toney fan one of the saddest was when he got robbed in the first Peter fight and another one with James was when he came in way over wieght for the Rahman fight, because I'm sure he could of won if he was in right shape and he would have won the HW belt. Its sad because I'm just not sure if James has it in him to beat any of the current belt holders and I would have loved to see James win a HW strap.
Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
Happiest-B-hop-Tito
Saddest-An aging Ali just being abused by a prime Holmes
Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
happiest-Bruno vs McCall 96
saddest-Tyson vs Lewis 02
Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
Happiest- Wlad caving in the left side of byrds face in their rematch after i had to sit thru the borefest that was Byrd-Williamson
Saddest- Not sure. Recently it was briggs making me look like an idiot and before that probably toney losing to peter.
Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
Happiest -
Tyson - Holyfield 1 - We all thought we were guna see Evander for the last time getting thrown to the wolves after the Bowe K.O loss but he was amazing
Lewis - Rahman 2 - After all the taunting , everyone truned their backs on lewis , showed him no repsect for his achievcemnts and he shoved it down their throats
Barrera vs Nas - Having followed their careers , I always told people Barrera was the 1 guy who would beat Nas . After Naseems arrogance etc over the years , I couldnt have been happier to see him humbled and what made it better was it was the great Barrera who did it
Saddest -
Evander vs Toney - I know Evander has lost since but a stoppage loss to an arrogant , obese fighter was a real low for a great warrior like Evander
Re: Happiest/Saddest u've been after a fight???
The saddest for me was facing up to Tysons demise. It was 3 times coming starting with Lewis.
The happiest was perhaps Calzaghe beating Lacy. Or Barrera beating Marquez....then followed by sadness...

I was more angry than I was sad about that . If Barrera had truley been beaten , it would have been sad to see yeah but watching him own Marquez but then get robbed is more of an annoying thing rather than sad

Yes angry was the immediate emotion. But on knowing the result, it led to sadness. I still feel somewhat bitter and sad about the result. Im not very angry about it
