Some a yous get a bit to excited about things to have meaningful conversations. Ruiz isn't fun to watch in the ring but it's hard in the midst of such overstatement and hyperbole to find value in some of these comments.

Whats the biggest complaint about heavyweights today? They're outta shape, they hold too much, and they put on boring fights. Well who brings all that in one convienent package? Exactly. Its time to get rid of all these washed up and sloppy heavyweights and bring in some new people.

Speaking of the first post, did you really just say that Lennox and Vitali ducked him? That's absolute crap. Vitali and Lennox fought each other but they were both "afraid" of ruiz?  ::** Holyfield was a shell of his former self and oquendo and tua never became anything aside from "People who beat the amazing john ruiz". He beat a washed up holyfield, Rahman who is just as overrated as ruiz is, and Tony tucker. He doesn't have a really solid win on his record and his only great competition was people who were only hyped up for beating him (aside from jones of course).
I'm just saying, coming out with accusations that vitali and lennox ducked him are a bit absurd.
Lennox: Hmm i've fought a 6'7 240 pound guy with the best active ko ratio in the division but i'm afraid to fight a 6'4 guy with a terrible ko ratio that has been beaten by chumps, a washed up evander and roy jones jr.
Vitali: I've just fought an all time great but im afraid of a guy whose gonna try to hold me but can't because im bigger than him.
Sorry doesn't add up to me at all.

I agree with what you said man,I didn't write that,I just posted it for discussion.
Most of the fighters of this era are hard to make a case for greatness. Look at the top guys right now and for the past few years:
Ruiz: He put tua, oquendo, and valuev on the map simply because he beat a washed up holyfield.
Rahman: Had a freak ko against lewis because lewis took him lightly.
Byrd: Beat vitali (in the most unimagineable way possible) and a washed up holyfield.
Wlad: Has a suspect chin and some ponderous losses
Vitali: fought lewis and ko'd pretty much everything in his path (as of right now the only active one you can make a case for if he stays around for awhile)
Lewis: fought holyfield (maybe washed up), bowe, Tyson and avenged all his losses. Outside of lennox you gotta reach to make a case for somebody in the past 7 years.

He is a very under rated fighter, But boring to watch wrestle
I think he is overrated. He can beat an aged Holyfield but he never really fought the top top guys like Lennox who could punch and when he did fight a puncher he was knocked out in one round.. Lennox would have demolished him in 2 rounds. The only reason Jones and Toney fought him was because he was the weakest champion. Underated no. Maybe he was underrated as far as most guys thought he could easily be beaten, but he was overrated in that he was champion. Ruiz being champion means that the division is weak. Very weak.
