I want to be clear on this, I am against catchweight fights. We have enough weight classes already.
I don't see why Hatton can't move up for this. Floyd isn't a natural welterweight anyways he's naturally probably smaller than Ricky, a couple inches taller but smaller frame.
He started out as a superfeatherweight two divisions below Ricky so there is no size advantage for Floyd in fighting at 147 lbs.
Actually though Floyd could make 140 lb again easily enough anyways. He walks around at 150 lb, he could probably just go for a long run in a sweat suit, dehydrate a little and make the 140 lb limit on a week's notice.
I see no advantage or disadvantage for either fighter at either weight to be honest.

I hear ya, I'd like to see this at 140 or 147, but nowhere in between.

I'm inclined to agree there.
Honestly...outside of the U.S. is going to be nowhere near neutral ground.
The U.S. is the best bet for that...but if Floyd moves down to 140 he's done...& if Hatton moves up to 147...he's done in there too...so I am a bit confused as to who gives up the physical advantages first.
Last time Hatton boxed @ 147 he had five weeks notice and bulked up by eating junk food. This time he would have 12 weeks notice and would bulk up more sensibly. Also all this silly talk of where the fight is has no bearing on the outcome. hatton can draw a massive crowd whereever he boxes. Over 10,000 brits came to the USa for his fight with castillo. Could you imagine even 50 americans coming to britian to watch boring boring mayweather. Mayweather cant even pull his own curtains nevermind pull a crowd.

I'm in a pretty bad mood today so i'm jus gonna throw down my colours...Fuck It....Ricky Wins.
We saw his physique against Castillo, he's takin his boxin way more serious now, trainin with Kerry he can easily pile on seven more pounds of power.
