Re: Why should PBF-Hatton be the next big fight?
I'll throw one more factor into the equation. Theoretically, it's the boxers' job to fight. Fight whomever they put across the ring from them. And it's the promoters' job to make fights. So just 'cause Cotto isn't actively calling Floyd out, that doesn't necessarily mean he's not just as deserving as Hatton to fight Floyd.
Right?
Re: Why should PBF-Hatton be the next big fight?
OK heres my 2 cents, Boooo this man!
PBF is picking on a little guy he knows he can beat, and in that statement lies the truth. he knows its not a best vs the best. and honestly did PBF fight any of the BEST in 140 or 147?... NOPE. so how the heck did HE deserve a fight with DLH?
PBF is ducking great fighters until they've gotten old or washed up, taking easy fights with guys like gatti, mitchell, baldi, who defined him in the welter division. i wanna see these guys who claim greatness in they're lifetime CLEAN UP THEIR FREEKIN DIVISIONS! stop dodging the guys who are there to beat u. C'mon you know you want to Booo him!
as for hatton
hes getting a butt load of moolah and would love to smash Floyd's face in ... wouldn't you!? but look at the Collazo fight, PBF will be hella hard to hit and busting straight rights in is face all night, it'll cut him and it'll be over. not that it couldn't be exciting with the possibility of a deadly body blow, but thats not the issue is it? i wanna see PBF and Mosley, and cotto , and Williams...
oh oh oh wait PBF is a jr middle now, so shall we see him vs spinks or ouma or mora? talk about running from the divisions best!
hatton needs to make a mark at 147
to DESERVE a fight with PBF. cuz people are in line, don't YOU hate it when someone cuts you in line or on the road some dumb shit passes all the people waiting at an exit or toll ? they just didn't want to wait their turn in line like the rest of us! personally i never let that asshole in, and ill go out of my way just piss him off, and even the schmuck who lets him in gets it too! and this is why they get no respect from me!
so ... can u see it, in like ten or twenty yrs from now, the arguments...could Mosley/ cotto have beat floyd? who knows cuz they couldn't put up enough $ to get that little girl up off his arse!
aren't they fighting for belts and legendary status, Where has the GLORY GONE???

Right?
In theory i agree 100% with what you said...
I have been to your side of the fence in this debate before, BUT if fighter do want big fights to happen, they do have to call a guy out... the lil back and forth in the media, forums talking about it gets attention, attention = cash...
Re: Why should PBF-Hatton be the next big fight?
Hatton has done more to earn a fight with Mayweather than Cotto. ;) this fight is overdue!
My logic is..
Hatton won the lineal championship at 140 by beating the undisputed champion (Kostya Tzsyu).
Floyd on the otherhand skipped through 140 picking up his beloved green belt from Gatti and moving up to 147 where... he beat Mitchell and Judah who the undisputed champion (Kostya Tzsyu) had already destoyed at 140.
Then we have the one man who gave Floyd his toughest test Castillo, who Hatton destroyed (that was hard to type :-\ )
It seems obvious to me that Hatton should be first in line. ;)

tszyu neever destroyed judah, that fight was stopped to fucking early... a flash ko in the second round (wit judah winning the first) don't prove alot to me...
Re: Why should PBF-Hatton be the next big fight?
Floyd keeps avoiding the best and instead fighting people who are alot slower than him, Baldomir and Oscar.
Ricky's gonna catch you, Floyd cos your fake.
It's gonna be like the beating Lennox gave Riddick at the Olympics!

You're grasping at straws.
Regardless, be careful what you wish for... you just might get it. Hatton will get Floyd, and will be beaten by Floyd. Cotto will continue his march through the 147-pound division, and Floyd will eventually be forced to look his way, whether Miguel has called him out or not. And THEN we'll see what Mr. Mayweather is really made of.

Those straws are facts friend! and I don't mind in the least if Hatton loses his 43-0 record I'm still sore about his fight with Kostya! >:mad

The only "fact" here is that Hatton has NOT done more to earn a shot at Floyd than Cotto. Hatton has not proven himself at 147, where Floyd is more suited to fight. Matter of fact, "not proven himself" was an understatement. The correct wording is: he STUNK at 147 and went scurrying back to 140. Cotto proved himself to be a legitimate 147-pounder. Floyd is coming off a win over DLH at 154. Are you getting my drift? Why skip over 147 on the way down to 140, when you've got some terrific (and undefeated also) fighters waiting for you right there at 147 pounds??
You know what I'm starting to think? I'm starting to think that PBF has no INTEREST in facing Cotto, and risking his p4p status (and his ribs). He'd rather face Hatton instead.

It only took 2 rounds for Kostya to figure Judah out. Zab had the nasty habit of moving straight backwards and Kostya had one on the best straight rights in the business, if Nady let it gone on Zab would have been seriously hurt.

the shit nady claims was only to make it sound like he stopped it right
