Agreed 100% with this... actually this kinda goes hand in hand with my "overrating the old timers" opinion... If Roy Jones lived 50 years earlier but had the same level of compedition, did the same things in the ring and had the exact same accomplishments, people would be saying he was the greatest of all time IMO.

I'm talking about the guys who NO ONE here has actually seen fight (or maybe only saw 1 or 2 clips on them), and still ranking them in the top 5 of all time in their weight class.
There is a difference between being a fan of violence and not wanting to watch Cory Spinks and Floyd run away for 12 rounds. If/when i want to go see running ill go watch athletics.

Well I admit I am an elitist or a "purist" when it comes to boxing. There are so many styles of boxers, and if you can't appreciate them (or if you think what Floyd Mayweather does is considered "running"), to me you are not a boxing fan. To me, its like watching basketball only for the fancy slam dunks, or watching hockey only for the body checks and fights. I know this is an unpopular opinion and will probably piss a lot of people off, but I gotta be honest.
Re: Your strange opinions on boxing........
Here's one I've been thinking about for a several months now. I think there should be two additional judges watching the fight on TV with a spacial live feed where they cannot hear the comentators.

don't forget the oxygen and the WE network.
Re: Your strange opinions on boxing........
I'd love for big PPV fights to be on weekdays like in the 80's and early 90's. A fighter should also NEVER be stripped for unifying a title. But I don't think that's one too strange.
