Completely agree here Dark,
I can't stress enough how many
times I've read where people try to down play Sanchez by saying that he beat a prospect in Nelson or that Nelson was not ready for a fight of that caliber.
Well watch the fight and tell me Nelson fought like a prospect. Or that he fought like someone with 13 fights....
Nelson stood up to a P4P fighter at that time and a great that IMO was in his prime and gave 'em one helluva fight.

Thanks again!
Thanks a lot man, really. I mean that.
I really put some effort into it, to be honest it took me about a week to get it together my original article (if you wanna call it that) was pretty damn! long. I had done a rd. by rd. of the fight along with parts of what you see. But then I asked myself how many people are really gonna read a loooooong as article? So I decided to cut the rd. by rd. down to the best rounds and add my own voice to it.
I wrote it in pencil and then typed it in Word, cause I can't tell you how many times I type a good comment and then the page goes on time out and I loose everything that I typed.
Again, thanks.... 8)
Totally agree with that Mick it reminded me of Tim Witherspoon vs Holmes i think Witherspoon had only 15 pro fights and only started boxing at 22 yet he fought Holmes at 25 only having 15 pro fights and gave him one hell of a fight and could of gone either way Witherspoon fought like a complete pro just like Nelson did with Sanchez.
You know ICB, I gotta hand it to you that's a really good example that you used there....

Thanks alot bro :coolclick: back you know talking about Sanchez again i feel like watching Gomez vs Sanchez again im still in shock how many all time greats he beat in such a short time its scary thought how good he could of been and how many fights could of been made Gomez vs Sanchez 2 Arguello vs Sanchez.
Most def. man, heres some more that I like to think about....
Sanchez vs Fenech, Paez, Pedroza, McGuigan, Esparragoza (would have loved to see this one).

Well its been just over a year and i think this thread deserves a bump. For some of the newer members who haven't read this terrific little write up Mick done.
Luckily i was looking at a Salvador Sanchez thread, and it reminded me of this thread and since i just watched Salvador Sanchez vs Pat Cowdell/Danny Lopez 2.
Im hoping we get a few more replies on this thread, because i love debating about the great Salvador Sanchez.
